Hawg
There's been quite a few posts on folks not being able to find these things. I saw a whole bunch of them at Oars and More, a bait shop in Crosby Minnesota this weekend. Actually sounds like he might be stuck with them, he said he's had them quite a while. They sure are physically big things for what they actually are.
hawkeye43
I can tell you once you use one, you will like how well it works. I bought one 3years ago and love it. They stoped making them shortly after that ,then started making them in Feburary again. I bought 15 saucer in late feb., I have 1 left. I sold them to all the people that say them cook fish. The best part is how little oil it takes to cook fish and if you get the oil to hot and burn the oil you can dump it and start over, 15 oz. of oil tops. I have cooked a lot of fish with it and have nothing bad to say about it It takes a whole lot less room than a turkey cooker I have used before and runs on less lp also. NAMASafetyDirector
Stop in to Capra's Sports in Blaine and see Jerry or Hollywood, they will get you set up!
DREZLER
The original owner sold them this winter to a new buyer. I imagine you will see them hit some more shelves soon. The reason I like them so much is because you can put all of your cooked food on the edges to cool off but it still remains hot-- no more soaking wet grease towels on a plate!! otterman91105
I have had one for about a year now and love the little clean up and the amount of oil you use. These fryers are awesome.
fowldreams
How large of a fillet and how much can fit in that little cup?
Hawg
i dont think i would spend $150 on one. no capacity and setting fish on the moist sides will just make it soggy wouldn't it?
otterman91105
The fish chunks need to be cut up and you can only do about ten pieces at a time. The sides of the pan work really well cause it keeps the fish warm till you are all done.
Jared_P
It definitely seems like it would work in a smaller quick setting. if you were having a huge fish fry you might want to look into something different. I can see shore lunch, fish house and small quick fries at home with the family. Anyone ever use it for something other than fish?JP
NAMASafetyDirector
Ive used it for green beans, mushrooms, onion rings, breaded duck strips, chicken strips, shrimp and my all time favorite chicken fried steak. Probably some more but you get the picture. If anyone is looking for one stop by Capra's in Blaine and talk to Jerry or Hollywood they'll fix ya right up! Hawg
It would be a big thing to carry in a boat for shore lunch. They're huge physically for the size of the actual fryer.
