Favorate Sirius XM radio stations??

BLACKJACK

Question

The new truck has Sirious XM radio, love some of the commecial free rock and roll stations, looking to expand - what stations do you like?? On long drives talk radio is good, keeps me awake, any suggestions?

Need to be commecial free!!! If I wanted commercials I'd listen to regular radio!!

How about a Twins station, is there a specific one?? I see that they have lots of MLB stations, are they tied to specific teams??

You'll like Sirius, any type of music, any sports talk you want also, even a comedy station. We listened to the Twins when we were out in the Mts. in the west last year when reg. radio couldn't find a station. Each game is on a separate station. The cost is expensive, we cancelled once the free 6 month period was up, but they contacted us after a few days and offered a half price deal, so we signed up for another year. Just have to remember to cancel when the time is up.

I'm a country music guy, so several stations to choose from. The one I find myself listening to the most is 6070, the blues channel. Also, when it's time to renew, call the retention department and tell them you can't justify the high renewal price because you don't listen to it that much or whatever you come up with not to renew. They will offer some discounts or tell them you found a special rate people are getting and you want it. I got 1 year for just under 90ish. Have heard 6 months for 29.99. you have to call and do the same "song and dance" to get the discounted rate after the new term. Just google "Sirius deals" and you can get the latest.

Correction...6070, the Blues channel on Dish. 70 on radio.

Yeah I just got the 5 month (not 6) for 29.99 deal by doing exactly what CigarGuy said.

I like rock and alternative, so my top 5 would be:

Lithium

Octane

90's on 9

Highway (country)

and a combo of 70's on 7 and classic vinyl

The ESPN channel is solid, especially the SVP and Resillo (spelling?) show that is on at noon... except the commercials suck.

Thanks, had heard that you should dicker with them. How about if you have two subscriptions, one for the car and one for the truck, wonder if its possible to negotiate on that??

I hear you, my wife likes to listen to a station that has commercials!!! Not for me, she does that nowadays when we're NOT riding together!!

My radios pretty much stay on 56.. Willies Roadhouse. its the music that I grew up with. I never really connected with the music of my generation. late 60s/early to mid 70s. Cannot handle the music of the 80s.

I like Willies, except when they play John Denver or Olivia newton John, but thats rare.

Pretty sure if you played that music in a real "Roadhouse" you'd get your a$$ kicked grin

Ive recently upgraded my subsciptions (3) to include the Nascar channel. not really a fan on Nascar, but a big Kyle Larson fan (NNS rookie)

With that upgrade, comes some adult channels, that I havent listened to.

Some of the comedy channels can be alright at times, but for the most part, it seems like the more F bombs you can throw out, the better commedian you are? Really?

I like the Grateful Dead channel, Margaritaville, Springsteen, sometimes Pearl Jam, Classic Vinyl. Lots of good ones from 20 - 28. 1st wave #33 is good at times. I have Outlook reminders set up to make sure I cancel after the current promotion or else you get charged either 6 months or a year at regular rate.
