Well, sport show season is in full swing and we are getting closer to open water.

What trips does everyone have planned for 2013?

I have Sturgeon Bay, Hayward WI and Rainy Lake trips...

In April I'm heading to St. Thomas, most likely will take a charter or guide out to do some fishing.

In June my girlfriend has something planned for my big 3-0. She won't tell me what it is but she said it involves bringing the boat. My guess is Gunflint trail area....?

In September we have the state tournament on the Mississippi in southern MN. I'll be fishing there for a week.

Whew, It's going to be a busy year!

My buddy and I are leaving in 3 weeks for Amistad and Falcon. Pumped beyond belief!

TR21HP

So your going to be hitting Falcon the week after the BassMaster Elites fish it. That should be interesting.

Hester, Should find out a lot about patterns hopefully but both lakes are so unpredictable at that time of the year. We could run into prespawn spawn and postspawn depending where we are on the lake.

I want to do a couple trips to Mille Lacs for smallies, also a plan for Vermilion on opener. I would like to do the WI opener for C&R bass but don't know much about which lake have Smallies. Still researching.

My son (from Grand Rapids, MI) and I will do our yearly week-plus trip to the two Bay de Nocs in early June. Will likely spend a few fall days on the St. Clair/Detroit River system. The rest of the year for me is spent chasing toothy critters on LOW and locally. We used to do Sturgeon bay, but grew tired of the crowds.

I've never been on Mille Lacs, so I'd like to get down there to fish both brown and green bass once or thrice this year. My brother will (hopefully) be done with his tour in Afghanistan in early June, and if his wife gives him a pass I hope to take a fishing trip with him somewhere. If time/budget doesn't allow a big trip, we'll just go in my back yard of work Leech over good smile

Plans for a southern trip didn't work out but will be in Florida in May so will have to get some fishing in then.

Open water cant come soon enough and the river is in the near future...the rest of the summer will be Tonka and Waconia just about every weekend and a August trip to whitefish...jealous of those heading south soon!

Me and my dad are buying a WI license for the 1st time ever this year. In april we're gonna hit chequamegon bay for some salmon. On the MN opener we're gonna hit ely to chase some lakers on burntside lake. Memorial weekend, we're gonna hit chippewa flowage. And if that goes as good as we expect it to go, we'll probably take several trips there over the course of the summer. June is our annual Grand Marais trip. September has traditionally been our annual Brainerd trip, but I think this year we're gonna go a tad farther north and fish the Walker area.
