I'm bothered by the high winds for the next three days while the early ice is forming. That's going to make the surface rough, but worse, it's going to mix a lot of air in with the ice as it forms. We won't have the clear strong first ice like we need to get out on that two to three inches. The air pockets will make it to weak. Or, could I be wrong? The next few days will tell. I'd like to be out there come Sunday or Monday.

Dang i looked at the weather and temps on weather.com and it looks amazing, good cold days and out fishing!
I'm not do sure yet for the Metro. Next Thursday, Friday and Saturday all have highs in the 40's and lows above freezing. I sure hope that forecast drops a bit.

got word on a few smaller lakes up north gonna scout it out tomorro

but a few of us are planning on sun mor hope to get out far enof for some action

of course we will be tied together with life jackets on

i will keep ya all posted but i am pumped

long range forcast for the second week of dec show possible 50s

Thats not for everywhere! When you bring up a forecast like that you have to say where its for. For me here in central mn the warmest i see it is next weekend otherwise the long term forecast has highs at about 30 degrees
