Mike Tirico(Sp?) has ruined MNF. I dont know how that little arrogant dink ever got that job but he is horrible. And if I hear Gruden say, "this guy" one more time I am going to barf. I sure miss the days with Al Michaels, Dan Beerdorf, and Frank Gifford.

To bad the cant fire Tirico and get the guys from the National weather service that do the Tornado and severe storm warnings. U know, the robotic ones. They would be way better.

Even those two guys that used to do the ESPN games with Joe Thiesman would be way better. Paul McGuire and I forget the other guys name. Even give me Miller.

Why do you watch so much football if all you do is complain about how bad it is? There has to be something you could do that wouldn't get you so riled up.

Between this thread and your vikings thread you're blood pressure has to be through the roof. I suggest counting to 3 with a few deep breathes and then maybe start mixing in a few minutes of the food network work or maybe catch a movie on the Lifetime network.

Couldnt agree more paul allen is the only guy that can make a 1 yard run by ap seem like some running for a 85 yard td makes me sick

Great idea. Next week we should all watch and then compare and see what the dumbest quote we hear from these guys. There should be some real zingers with Aaron Rodgers playin. It just might be so bad it could bring me back to the Madden days. Maybe ESPN should hire Caliendo and let him do stupid Madden impersenations for the entire game.

I think that would be because Frasier is just starting his second year. Why fans of the Vikings expect ANY coach to take over a stinky turd such as the Vikings and turn it around quickly is ridiculous. The Vikings had ONE good season with Favre, nothing remotely close to that before or since. This turnaround process will take time and many draft classes to correct. I am 100% convinced that fans and media will run Frazier out of town well before the job is done, prolonging the timeline until the Vikings can be a force again.

I agree skunked, it's just too bad we didn't offer Tomlin or Dungy the chance when we had em. And I agree let Leslie just be the guy for as long as he wants, he's currently tied with Bud Grant in superbowl wins. Back to not only MNF but how about all these CBS guys or FOX guys. T. Bradshaw has the nastiest rug I've ever seen. I enjoyed Madden lol, "see you got this guy going that way and this other guy goes this way and boom". It's funny watching these testosteroned men who know or think they know everything hammering away at one another etc. then you watch the games and realize how they're guessing etc. Jimmie Johnson said "you watch the vikes indy, watch AP rush for easily over a hundred" Wrongo Jimmie

People like prognostication...it gives them something to either agree with or argue against. I, too, thought AP would eclipse a 100 yards at Indy. There run D has been deplorable. Nobody can be perfect in pre-game guesses, but I think a lot of the aforementioned announcers have a great deal more perspective on the game then we could ever hope to achieve in a lifetime as armchair QBs and they base their guesswork on that. Fair enough by me.

Of course, some announcers are just plain not very fun to listen to, or downright boring/embarrassing. Joe Buck comes to mind. And for my part, Al Michaels is terrible, too. I for one think Paul Allen is great to listen to. He gets excited, sure, but I like that. Makes the game fun to listen to...and if you are broadcasting on the radio you have to pep it up a bit. Just my two cents.

I beg to differ some pike, but I hear what you're saying, I've been playing and now coaching football for 31 years. Football's a pretty simple game in a way. It generally comes down to you either have the horses to win or you don't and the main horse is the QB in the NFL, but the teams that won last weekend, the teams that had the most rushing attempts in the games went 13-1. There's some perspective lol. You'd be surprised how many even High School teams now run a spread offense etc.
