Boar
My daughter wants to eat the heart of the bear she shot, I usually grind it into burger, How would you guys prepare a heart?
Big Dave2
I'm not sure how it would work with a bear heart but my mom used to pickle the beef hearts whenever we butchered a steer.
OnAFly
I would cut it into strips and try to keep the grain a short as possible, then cook it very very quickly on a grill. Or, I would cube it and cook in something like a stew which cooks much longer and will soften it. You just want to keep it from turning into shoe leather. Something that works as hard as a heart is going to be tough.
mrklean
The way i use to do deer heart is toss it in the oven in some water with tin foil to almost steam it then salt and pepper im sure there are better ways but i liked it
delcecchi
I googled "cook pork heart", since bear meat is a lot like pork from what I remember, and got a bunch of recipes.
