In a mood to post a bunch....Enjoy. All images made with SonyA300, Sigma50/500.

Now, here is an interesting animal. This snapping turtle was found recently on the St. Louis River. This was one relaxed snapper. The turtle swam and drifted along a mud flat, occasionally coming up out of the water to have a look and move about.

Both images were made from the same (camera to subject) distance, using the zoom to give different perspectives.

Least Sandpiper (Juvenile). This bird was photographed in the same location as the snapping

turtle, only the bird was photographed in September, and the turtle was photographed in April.

I often think that I want a Canon 100-400, then you show us what that Sigma 50-500 does, and I start wondering all over again.
