Just realized you can prestige at level 55. I though you had to make it to 80 like in MW3. I'm level 40 right now but I've just been playing TDM, FFA, and KC. I tried the FAL on my lunch break. I like it, it reminds me of the MK14 on MW3

Prior to the release of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,” which is shown in the slide-show above, the addition of the “Nuketown 2025” map became a major pre-order incentive for the game. Treyarch insisted that this will be the only way that players would be able to obtain access to this multiplayer map.

Upon the release of “Black Ops 2” fans that pre-ordered the game to obtain the “Nuketown 2025” multiplayer map had the understanding that they would have access to this map in public ranked multiplayer matches at all times. Shockingly, today David Vonderhaar announced that this is not the case. Delivered through Vonderhaar's official Twitter account, the following statement has been given:

Double XP weekend is official over. That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. RIGHT? Don't kill the messenger. Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 will be back for special events. You can always play it with your friends in Custom Games.

This means that “Nuketown 2025” will no longer appear in public multiplayer playlists. Treyarch did not previously make this information public, as fans assume that “Nuketown 2025” would always be set as a playlist. Personally, I cannot understand the ideology behind why Treyarch has chosen to implement this type of restriction on the “Nuketown 2025” map, of which was given an extreme amount of hype prior to the release of “Black Ops 2.”

Currently, it is not known specifically when this map will return, as Treyarch has not released any further information.

Otherwise, fans may be interested in the slide-show listed above this article, which contains gameplay screenshots from “Black Ops 2.”

Earlier today, Treyarch pulled the popular Nuketown 2025 24/7 playlist in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 citing the dedicated rotation of modes on the map was temporary.

"Double XP weekend is official over. That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. Right? Don't kill the messenger," Game Design Director David Vonderhaar wrote on Twitter. But an outcry of fans for the pre-order and Collector's Edition map – a re-imagining of the original Black Ops arena – have made Treyarch think twice.

Moments ago an update was sent to Black Ops 2 adding a new playlist, dubbed "Bonus." The mode within the playlist, "Chaos Moshpit," notes that selecting this playlist will rotate "small maps with a variety of game modes," including Nuketown 2025.

"Chaos Moshpit" also includes the maps Carrier, Cargo, Express, Hijacked, Slums, and Standoff, Vonderhaar tweeted.

So, get your Nuketown on, folks!

I find it really hard to complain much about this game or any game in the series. They are consistent, that’s for sure and you basically know what you are in for. One game is total domination, and the next totally dominated.

the end it equals out. Those people who appear on the top of your friends leaderboard are most likely the best players you know. It all averages out.

Plenty to get angry about though. Stupid snipers…..stupid campers, etc etc.

Unless you have a dedicated LAN you will never have a perfectly matched round.

When I look at how far online gaming has improved in the last 10 years, it blows my mind. I remember the first game I really got into on XBOX (Ghost Recon) and the gap from there to here is light years. I remember having to purchase Road Runner business class connection (3000 down and 800 up) so that I could host games with more than 6 people. If you were lucky you would run into a guy with a T1 line and you could have 8 or 10 people.

chat was not open, you had to push a button like a walkie every time you had something to say, you couldn’t mute people, there was no such thing as a party, and if there were too many explosions at once, the game would crash. There were all kinds of hoops to jump through each session to get a game going and when you finally did, you had a half a dozen good games and then you had to start all over again.

For what it is, the entertainment value of this game is dirt cheap.

man you aint kidding its crazy to think back to the mech assault days, that was one of the first xbox live games, i remember all my friends thought i was crazy for spending 50/year for it and they would all come over to play online now having xbox live is almost as common as having a smart phone, heck i remember when it was a big deal in halo that if you were close enough to your own team mate it would automatically open a chat line without having to use the D-pad, cant wait to see where its at in ten more years.

I'm starting to think LMIT is just trolling.

Anyways.... for what it's worth, PS3 now has the option to mute all except for who is in your party.

I know that was one of the caveats that the XBoxers were holding onto why to buy Live.

I know PS3 also runs plus now, but you don't have to buy it just to play online, which I do like at least having the option

One game is total domination (Infinity Ward), and the next totally dominated. (BlackFlops)

It all averages out... Yeah, I suppose it does considering that every face to face CQC battle is essentially a coin flip with this game.

Yet it wasn't in MW3...

confused

I'm not a 8-15 player!!!

(inside joke for those who've been around). wink

I dont know about that... well unless we're talking both people attempting to knife each other. I try not to knife anymore Ive missed so many, including people standing still with their back to me! No more panic knife, more like panic hip spray. Thats the game, adapt or die.... and respawn and die again. wink

I am still holding out hope that since it just came out they will be patching/nerf up a few things. You shouldn't be able to run and gun with a sniper rifle and you shouldn't be able to snipe with an SMG especially with a silencer on it. Although there really isn't any reason you couldn't dominate most every match with a decent team but you got a team full of "green guy" rambozo's pushing way to far and they start to spawn right behind you while the partied up team just kicks back, holds position and just mops up the dummies as they keep running through the same choke point over and over.
