Larva, Waxies, or Plastics?

Which are your favorite to use?

Been using mostly plastics in the metro for the last couple seasons and I really like it, seems to work well on the more pressured fish.

Still use mostly waxies and larva when I go up north in the winter.

I usually have all 3 with me when I go, but this morning they really wanted the plastics. I was out fishing the 2 guys right next to me probably 3 to 1. I've been useing them more and more this year as I build more confidence in them.

I think confidence is the key with plastics and they will at times outshine any other presentation.

That being said, there is times when they just won't cut it.

I think Basswhacker hit it on the head, carry all three and see what they like.

hands-down waxies. won't fish w/ euros anymore unless that's all i can find.

I can keep waxies for a long time in my basement but euro's die for me like with in 2 days. Any one have know how to keep them alive? I waxie and plastic guy but some days they want minnows

I can keep euros a while, but waxies die off for me. I keep them in bait pucks in the fridge. Waxies always turn that nasty grey color on me.

I like the euros since they last longer. I like plastics when they work for me, but that;s hit or miss.

You shouldnt keep waxies in the fridge it's to cold. You should set them on a window sill and close the blinds or leave the container an a cement floor on the basement, your waxies will last alot longer. Euros will also die really fast in the fridge if you keep your fridge to cold.

I keep my euros and waxies in the basement the waxies last for months. Bait pucks do not have holes for air to get in if you can get a big tub of waxies dump them back into that to keep them. Use the puck for fishing I know its a pain sometimes but your waxies will live longer. My euros look like they dry out or something. I cant figure it out. I tried my euros in the fridge basement counter upstairs and they seem to die within a day or 2

I like plastics around here on certain lakes but once i go up north strick live bait ecspecially when fishing for slabs and gills.

I go armed with all 3! Plastics are my go to then plastics with a waxie or larva on with it. If fish are in a negative mode I may try a little atoms wegee tail. If they are super finicky I thread a waxie on the hook. I always go with all 3. I find waxies are easiest to keep. I put bait puck in the window sill. Euros don't make it as long...

i keep euros in the fridge all winter. a fue die not many though. i use plastics once in awile and gulp alot in the summer.

Plastics or Gulp 95% of the time these days. I've bought 3 pucks or euros/wacies this winter and have used a total of 6-7 euros and 2-3 waxies the entire winter.

I'm with you of the LA motor oil color.
