pegleg
Rumor has it Chilly was hired as Cleveland's offensive coordinator... It doesn't look like he will get a head coaching job this year.
ted4887
Whoever would hire Chilly as a head coach needs an immediate drug test and psychiatric evaluation. He'll make a decent coordinator though.
govikes211
I think it's best he stays out of the head coaching position.
gopher_nation
He'll take the Browns to the promised land, no doubt in my mind...

SneakAttack
Great hire by the Cleveland Browns, Chilly got a bad shake here and Mike Holmgren will get the last laugh

zepman
Childress will be a good offensive coordinator. He doesn't have a position to coach and he doesn't have to be the face of a franchise. He's a terrible "people" person but knows his football. Behind the scenes and in the "box" upstairs is where he'll shine. Cleveland is god-awfull though and without a q-back he'll fail like all others without one.
Hammer Handle
Love him or hate him...he was better than the coach we have now. Way better. He did what he could with the team he had.

PurpleFloyd
All they need is Brett Farve as QB and TO at WR and it's SB Homeboy.Maybe McChunky as a backup QB
amateurfishing
Great for Wilfs, maybe ok for cleveland, we in MN are definitely better off without him, that being said, not claiming frasier is our answer.First need to interview more than 1 person for GM/Head coach positionChilly bankrolled on Favre and lost bigtime, completely killed team roster depth (going thru 15 qb's in 4 years and drafting at least 3), his "philisiphy" was his way putting square pegs in round holes, NEVER attempted to put players and their talent in position to succeed, never had control of locker room as players were quitting on him his last season and locker room was always bout showing preferential treatment to certain players. Yes we could/should have won super bowl with him but he also decimated roster and left a pathetic disgrace of very marginal talent that will take 3-4 years to recover & rebuild from. He got what he deserved showing no respect for entire team, front office, or owners. We r hardly a run stopping d anymore in a pass happy league, linebackers & secondary are completely outmatched & coached & wr free agent signings in last 4 years have been horrible with only percey harvin to show for it now. I would hope the wilfs would find the next jim harbaugh, but with no stadium to play in, a dead duck head coach (very short contract deal) who cannot even attract a respectable DC, the only way to turn Vikings around is from within (drafting) since chilly left the cupboard bare with exception of handful of players. zepman
It is well documented that Chilly and Co. went for it "all". They came one play short. Spielman has since said so. You're spot on with most of the rest though...cupboards empty, questionable coaching, and VERY little vision to the future...(see above). Vikes put themselves in a tough situation right now...it'll take years to dig themselves out. They need to start by getting rid of all of their big contract, older players, who failed to get the job done.Start over...window closed on this bunch.
