Hi

The other half wants to go to a resort this summer. I want to be sure there are good bass opportunities. Please give me some suggestions within a 3 1/2 hour drive of the cities.

Thanks

Mwal

You have way too many choices, and likely will get brain scald trying to make a decision......Bemidji,Walker,Fergus Falls,Park Rapids,Grand Rapids,Ottertail,Alexandria,Brainerd, and then there is AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!...There I go again!...Just keep Mama happy, and all is well.

ditto grizilla. put your finger on a map of minnesota anywhere north of the metro & you're covering at least 3 great bass lakes. i'd hit up the grand rapids/marcell area like others have mentioned, but i'm partial since i grew up there

i agree with the Marcell area and Grand Rapids for largemouth mainly [smallmouth also]. North Star Lake has some resorts on there with bass and more. for smallmouth i would check the Arrowhead area from Ely to the gunflint area and Isabella/Finland area as well. good luck.

Well if you can spare the extra hour traveling Vermillion is a great bass (LM and SM) lake. Not as busy as some of the others mentioned and you can always find calm water. Also have nice Hiking Golf and casino. Just more to help scall the brain. laugh
