I don't get it. If you bust through, whether your wheeler floats or sinks, you gots some work to do to get it out.

The average Joe has more weight per square inch of surface area than the average ATV. With that in mind would they force people to wear PFDs while ice fishing? Like Eric said, hopefully not here. People just need to use some common sense.

I know its an old thread but what bureaucratic imbecile came up with this law ? . Heck if they are that concerned then they should just have you run more tire pressure and your bike will float .

If I remember corrctly they had floats on lakes down by madison a few years ago. They where manditory for certain lakes due to the fact the ice would never be safe for them day to day. Down there to many rigs would go thru. They had floats which went on the side and not big .

I didn't read all of it, but do they require a PFD onboard your ATV on those lakes?
