RUT IS ON!!!

Rut is on in the west metro! Yesterday and today numerous bucks w/ does have been spotted by myself and friends. Get out there and hunt if you can.

A friend is near Dead Lake right now. He shot a bruiser 8 pt last night and has seen several deer chasing.

His brother blew an opp at another wall hanger this morning.

I am headed up as soon as the kid walks out the door at school!

PS I almost smacked a big buck in Becker last night, and a friends cousin shot a 10 pt in Becker last night.

Soon as my daughter and wife get home (cutting out of school early) we are heading to Ottertail county to continue her first hunt. Hope to see some action. We only saw 1 deer all weekend when she hunted.

Hmmmmmmm....I hunted w metro this morning. Saw a total of 8 does/fawns. Not one buck and nothing following, interested or chasing. I was a bit surprised.

Real slow here on spitzer lake. I've hunted every day dark to dark except wednesday. all the does that live on my property are all grouped together like its.the middle of January! Haven't had a pic of my 13 pointer I'm hunting since the 3rd, hope he made it and gets back home before the season ends.

I live on a small lake in OTC. Had a doe trot across the yard going west this A.M.. She'd stop, look back, and bleat (X3). Couple minutes later she came back to the east still looking and bleating. yesterday while taking my daily walk [half run at times] with my lab pup, i spotted a big buck traveling quickly with nose to the ground the whole way until it spotted me and the pup. here at bunker lake park in Andover. good luck.

It must be rut in the metro, I just had a buddy text me that a very large buck was running around at the corner of Hwy. 61 and Roselawn in Maplewood. 11am???

Nope it wasn't us nonteep. I didn't see anything today either. Dad had 3 coming to him but they cut into the woods to soon. They turned south and shortly after our neighbors shot 5 times.

Headed home now my season is over. We went 0 for 5. Ouch.
