All day sits

When do you all start to sit in the stand all day while archery hunting? Is it based on the calendar, sign, weather, etc? Let's hear your opinions...

For me Oct 25 or later.

I would all day sit from the 28th Oct. to the gun opener in November.

The bucks will be on the prowl looking for a hot doe and they won't be locked down with a doe as they will be after gun season starts!

Bow never. Rifle yes, because theres tons of guys chasing Deer around all day then. Plus it's a good time to get out in the boat for a few hours in the middle of the day then!

well ill sit and walk around try to find new spot and shoot grouse as im hunting deer with a bow. its pretty fun.

I do some mid day hunts now if the weather cooperates a tad, cooler temps, light winds and cloudy skies, but that ain't happening currently.

All day'ers for me start when I start to see some rutting activity, could be as early as mid October on.

Like someone stated earlier normally around the 25th of October.

i'd say everyone pretty much nailed it. anytime near the 25th of oct. and later.

halloween day has always been good to me as well!!!

when rifle season starts and we are in the northwoods of MN. we sit all day everyday we hunt.

I start looking for the opportunity for an all day sit as the last week of October approaches, depending on weather. Sitting all day is not for the timid. It's getting harder for me as I get older and the body doesn't take so well to it. I actually don't do it to be in the stand all day, I do it more so as not to disrupt the hunting spot by leaving/entering.

I agree with Jumbo... halloween day is usually a great day!

If I see a couple days of lows below 40 degrees, I'll start to sit all day. For me it's usually after October 15.

World Series and Halloween are the times I start to hit it hard, that along with the sign I am seeing, temps, and other factors. Like others have said the 25th is right in that timeline.
