First attempt at decoys

Ac I use cedar. Those 2 new ones look great! I like carved tails there easier to make than a metal tail plus I personally think it looks better. I make my nords with a thick tail and I love the way it looks plus its durable for pike attacks!

I would really like to have one just like that red and white mrklean.

I can work one up, i need to look for more fin material though, the stuff im using now isnt bad but i want a little bit thicker material.

mrklean, nice work. They look like they will be a blast to use.

You mentioned wood, try box elder, as it has a nice smooth grain, its easy to carve and shape, and is free from the woodpile (I have plenty if you want some). For the fins, an old aluminum cookie sheet or baking pan works nice, and they are inexpensive at the flea market.

Got the decoy Mrklean. It looks real nice sitting next to all my others in my family room. I cn't wait to get out there and give it a try.

There is only one problem. You forgot to sing your name on it! smile
