yet another 1st Bear post

Not the biggest, 170 dressed (so would be right around 200-210 live), but she is very pretty and will make a very nice mount and for my first bear I am very very happy. Shot opening day at 1810 with a slug from the trusty 870 12 gauge.

This is the view of the pile from my stand, she came into the bait on the left side, as we are loooking at it, of the tree that the camera is hanging on.

Only went about 20 yards and the little white box on the upper left is where that camera is located.

Best picture I could take by myself in the field, didn't have a tripod or anything so I had to prop the camera on my backpack. I didn't know her tounge was hanging out or I would've tucked it in. Sorry about that.

Back at the cabin before I took her to the locker so somone else could take the picture.

Now that the first one is under the belt I can be more picky next time.

Had brats and chops the last two nights from that bear and all I can say is WOW!!!! I've never had bear before and didn't know what to think but WOW it is fantastic!! The kids and wife even loved it.

Ahhh yes beats the he-ll outa deer dont it. Best freaking meat int he land You gota try a roast, sear it in oil in a frying pan an slow cook it all day, youve hear of better than sex cake? this it better than sex bear. Good for u!
