i shoot a 2001 golden eagle split fire 2. going on 11 years old. dumped 5 deer with it last year and 1 bear so far this season.

i would like to get another one, but price of new bow has me handcuffd. my golden eagle is still getting the job done with near 100 percent accuracy.

Mine is a matthews hyperlite going hunting for its 3rd season, first two it score on good bucks so maybe this year to. Thought about getting the new extreme but money don't grow on trees and there is nothing wrong with mine. But i will switch it out in a few more years i am sure.

I'm still using the Golden Eagle my parents bought me for my birthday in 1988.

It's still accurate out to forty yards, and given that I only go out on stand a few times each year that is good enough for me. If I were to start bow-hunting on a more regular basis I might consider upgrading.

I still use the one that I got for my 14th birthday. I dont bow hunt anymore but three years ago I did and I strung up the old Ben Pearson 45 recurve and took it out. I still shoot it a few times a year.

Guess that makes it 32 years old and It works better than I do sometimes winkgrin

My Golden Eagle is about 8 years old and still going strong!!! Wouldn't mind a new bow but I have other higher priorties to spend a grand on!!! This one has done the job on deer many times and will continue to do the job as long as the jerk behind the string does his job!!!

H2004 Hoyt Ultrasport. Was in college and couldnt quite afford the Ultratech. I've missed elk with it and plenty of deer. But I've also taken a few mule deer, a whitetail, tons of blue grouse, gallon jugs, target blocks and many great memories with it. Plan to continue hunting with it for another season or two. Restrung it at Archery Specialists in Maple Grove plus a retune and new release. Like new!!!
