Actually, they beat the spread in the last game. Those lines are mostly set by the betters. If lots of bets are coming in one direction the line changes so the casino is going to win whatever the outcome of the game.

Now you are quoting LMIT?

"THIRTY NINE" grineek

CNNSI has a story up now putting McNabb's day in perspective.

McNabb had thirty-nine yards passing on Sunday; seventy different NFL QBs amassed more passing yards than that in a single game last season. Atwaan Randle El, who plays wide receiver, had thirty-nine yards passing in one game.

In 2009, a punter threw for more than thirty-nine yards in a single game.

Awesome Effort by Mcnabb!

HE IS THE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!

I don't think there was any expectation for him to be "the answer" but how long before Ponders put out there? Aikman played his rookie year, and I think he went 1-15, Peyton Manning set an interception record his rookie season, and last time I checked they both turned out good. I only pray that when the next QB is shuffled in, it isn't Webb. He isn't the answer, either

What they need is Brett Favre back. Not as a player, but as a coach. He would be one hell of a mentor. I can see him doing it too, he absolutely loves the game and wants to be apart of it. He probably isn't gonna do it anytime soon, but in a few years i wouldn't be suprised to see him coaching somewhere.

All things considered DM was pretty solid. Obviously the guy can still play decent QB in the NFL. I agree he's not at the Pro Bowl level like hes been most of his career but he's still pretty darn good. Problem here is he has little to work with other than AP or PH. New coaches, teamates, terrible OL, no wide-outs to speak of and we are 2 plays away from being 2-0.

They have got to help him out. Need to address the Berrian thing, also get the OL out of there slump! It is amazing how Tom Brady just sits back and waits n waits n waits! If we could get that going it would help!. Also enough of the 2nd half shut downs! They have played good enough to win on 1st halves, but need to keep the mojo flowing in the latter part of games! NEED TO WIN NOW, or this season will be over before they know it! FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!! is an understatement.....

The O-line nees to get cleaned up. Like Jarrid said Tom Brady could bake a cake with the time he's got back there. It's not just once in a while either the guys got unbelievable amounts of time every single play. I don't care who the recievers are if they got that much time they will get open.

This is not an individual player problem, this is a front office problem. You can not go into a season with one of the worst o-lines from last year, cut a mediocre player, not add anything to it, and expect anything good to come of it. I am not a McNabb fan what so ever, but this isnt all his fault, he has no one in front of him to block for him, he has no trust in his receivers, not to take any blame away from his lack of arm, and under throwing every deep play as well. I am not even going to address the defense!

The Vikings are not under performing, they are on par with what they are, a bad team, with a few good players. I really hate to sound like Lmitout here, but you Koolaid drinkers just had your hopes to high for this team. Take them as they are, and you wont be disappointed in them. I think the team has some bright spots to build off of, the problem is they arent rebuilding, they think they have all of the pieces on the team. Once they realize they are in a rebuilding mode, they can improve. But until then, they are doomed to being a poor team with a few good players. Oh well, there is always next year smirk

Back to back games giving up over 400 yards passing, one to Cam Newton? Sounds like repeat to me......

I had low expectations coming in. Nothing I've seen from the vikings surprises me nor pi**es me off. I'll worry about something I can control such as being 2-0 in FFL and 2nd out of 57 in my big confidence point league.

Sorry James, but Cam Newton is going to be a good qb in this league, heck the Vikings might pick him up his 15th year in the league? He has a lot to learn yes, but has a lot going for him already. Brees was the other qb they gave up 400 on, he's not good either right? Not to mention that was a qb shootout. Newton threw almost 50 times and the Saints don't pass a lot either.....:) I know the Pack defense is doing good for my fantasy team this year, 2-0 also...

Everything you say is true. But anyone that knows football knows that great defense will trump great offense, or at the very least neutralize it. I mean let's be real, a great defense isn't going to give up 400+ to newton.

Ah, but the sweet sound of saying 2-0. Great D's, PIT/BAL both 1-1.

Excuse me, but I DO know football. Do I really need to bring up what you call great defenses that gave up 400, when a QB throws it 46 times? And how do you know how good Newton is? Did you watch the game, do you see his skills as a rookie? I guess the steelers so called great D did well trumping down rodgers or "neutralizing" him last year in the super bowl. This is a passing league now, a good QB, that throws 46 times in a game and that has a few weapons on his team, should put up 400+ against anybody.
