sad day

Recommended Posts

So I came home today and saw the cover on my boat was askew so I went to investigate, and to my dismay my rods were stolen, Four to be exact. The worst part is one of the rods stolen was my very first custom built rods (my baby). It was a 6ft sc5 st. croix matched with a Quantum energy pti, just a beautiful combo. Now some scumbag is mistreating my labor of love. I was devastated. I could care less about the other 3 rods, but the croix has a tremendous amount of sentimental value. I hope the thief will now suffer a long difficult life. Please enjoy the only pics I have of my "favorite rod".

Sorry to hear! Hopefully someone will recognized it! The nice thing about custom rods is they are all one of a kind. Maybe with these pictures someone might run across it some day and notice it is yours!

Hope you can find them. Did you call the police at all? perhaps they can lift some finger prints?

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Don't forget to browse the local pawn shops for your items.

Rest assured as the long difficult life for the thief is in place.

I know you can't replace the original but you do very nice work and your next project will be as nice...

Best wishes

Sorry to hear that! You have probably already thought of it, but check your insurance. See what replacement cost is on total of items lost. Did you build the custom? Get a quote on replacing it by another custom builder. Your labor is worth something! A custom SC5 should go $350 - $500, depending on guides.

That's not good the craftman ship looks great on the rod. Keep searching craigs list HSO-Classifieds and pawn shops for your gear. Five years ago at a garage sale I found my stolen duck boat motor and missing fishing rods. The garage sale was thirty minutes from my house and turns out that most of the stuff there was stolen. I wish you the best in recovering your gear.

Nothing pi$$'$ me off more than theft. Especially of such a personalized item. This rod cannot be replaced or appreciated the way you appreciate it. I guess the only thing to do is order new parts and try to duplicate it or build an entirely new rod and retire it to memories. My opinion of these people.............I guess the term on FM would be "VERY Unacceptable Poor Word Usage".
