Dang Nabit, is it just me, am i the only one that seems to need a new minnow bucket everytime I get bait to go fishing? Just added to the collection of yellow and white buckets hanging on the garage wall. There must be a 12 step program for this.

Yup, I bought an expensive bait bucket once that lasted me 4 trips. Now I buy the cheap ones that last 1 maybe 2 trips if I am lucky.

Get a small red and white Igglo cooler! I have used them for years for icefishing. You can handle them pretty rough and they help keep the minnows cooler in the summer, or warmer in the winter!

I always forgot the bucket. Now I keep one permanetly in the boat...ice fishing is a totally different subject still. I have quit a few foam minnow buckets now!

I always keep one of the mesh minnow buckets in the livewell along with 2 mesh leech bags. 1 for leeches and 1 for crawlers.

With the new laws regarding bait, I have gone to a cooler with a battery aerator and always get my minnows in an O2 pack. No more lake water for me if I hope to keep the minnows for another trip.

I inherited a white and yellow minnow bucket from my dad, I had it for 10+ years and he had it for 15+ before me. Finally replaced it this winter after the handle broke. Hoping the new one lasts me another 25 years.

No you're not the only one, those bait shop owners must sell a million of those things to the guys that forget them.

Same here, I really like that Minnow Tamer, get the bag from the bait shop, put it in the plugged livewell (incase it breaks open on your drive), then fill the livewell once you hit the water, then dump the bag into the minnow tamer once you get to your spot. That way the bait shop bag water temp aclimates to the livewell water temp and you're not dumping minnows from 70 degree water to 40 degree river water.

Wow typing all that out really shows how complicated I've made the simple process of buying minnows.
