Poor team

I can't help to look back to the preseason games. Seeing the D-line vets sitting on the sideline while the rookies were on the field. Lets just say they exuded confidence that their positions locked up. It bothered me.

IMO, they forgot what it took and somehow opposing teams were supposed to honor their reputations.

O-line is pathetic.

Doesn't matter who the QB is when your line can't give him time to throw the ball. Protection has come in holding after they've been beat. Running game, can't blame AP there. Again back to the line getting dominated.

Lets figure out what we're going to do with Webb instead of letting him got to waste on the sideline. If he is the "best athlete" on the team then he should be playing. Put him in for Harvin when he gets his headaches.

I like Frazier but think he needs a some of that Ditka style to motivate some of our millionaires.

Frazier is certainly not the answer either! That defense he built sucks. Madeiu Williams makes me crazy, whiffing on tackles, bad angles on runs and horrible over the top "help" in pass defense. This guy really needs to go!

The O-line is horrid. Our QB situation is abissmal for next year. Doubt Rice or Peterson are going to want to sign new contracts with a junk team...

We just entered a major rebuilding project!!!

Best part of all is a blind man could of told you at the end of last season our biggest holes were O-line and Safety yet we did nothing to fix it.

Madieu might be the worst safety in the whole league. It won't take much to turn this thing around next season if someone smart gets in here.

Seen enough of Sullivan to last a lifetime, he's undersized and gets blasted up the middle, and he can't snap a ball. Being football smart means nothing when you get pumbled every play.

health, turnovers, and schedule; not necessarily in that order play such major roles in a team's record from year to year and oftentimes one of those factors impacts one or more of the other factors.

last year's team would likely have had a couple more losses and this year's would have likely had a couple fewer losses had they flipflopped this year and last year's schedule. health has played a small part but hasn't been a huge issue this year but the tougher schedule definitely lead to more turnovers (and losses). I'm not sure if the vikes still have the worst +/- turnover ratio in the league but as of a couple weeks ago they did. last year the easier schedule allowed the vikes to play with the lead most of the time and that typically coincides with fewer turnovers (and more confidence and energy).

as poor as this team looks right now, they could very well turn it around next year if they end up at the bottom of the division this year and once again have an easier schedule like the 2009 season. not sure which afc division they get next year for schedule but that will play a big part along with their non-division games scheduled.
