Wildabeast
My neighbor is living in Florida and asked me to blow snow off her 3 car driveway. I'm wondering what a fair price would be to charge. I'm thinking $25, what say you (typical suburban 1/3 acre lot, 3 car garge).
Tom7227
You could consider doing it for free and having an IOU floating around. Otherwise your $25 sounds reasonable. I have a 3 car that is about 75 feet long and I think it took me about 45 minutes to do it today because I was making sure that I had enough future snow storage capacity. Jim Almquist
I think that your price is fair as long as you don't have to pick up a shovel. If you do then the rates get a little steeper Hate shoveling-Like snowblowing
Surface Tension
Your probably keeping an eye on her place too. $25 bucks to blow out her driveway while shes on winter hiatus soaking up the sun sipping on an umbrella drink saying " I wonder What The Poor People Are Doing Right Now". Seems more then reasonable to me.
BoxMN
FWIW - for our cabin, which we use every weekend, we pay a guy $25 per "more than 3-4 inch" snow whenever it happens. That is 100' drive and a turn around. I think it is good deal. Good luck.
dustin85
It sounds like a nice neighborly thing to do! Not to be Mr negative, but also consider liability issues...might be cheaper to leave it to the insured professionals. It would be very unfortunate to get sued by the mail delivery person/fed-ex, etc, if they slip and fall. Once you charge for services, I believe it opens up a can of worms. With that being said, I think your rates are reasonable. City driveways are typically charged $15 per stall by contractors ( 3 stall garage = $45),etc. Not looking to start any arguments ove this....trying to look at all the angles. Steve Foss
We charge $35/hr for time actually blowing snow. When you add gas, prep time and machine wear into time snowblowing, we figure that's about right. A person can blow a LOT of snow in an hour. Surface Tension
I wonder if your neighbor caught news of the storm while sipping umbrella drinks while soaking in the sun? OR if she even cares!
