fishersofmen
I commend Chili for getting rid of that jerk. But I also believe this team would be better off without either one of them. I would love to see a guy like Bill Cowher come in here. Classic to here Randy say the very coach who traded him a few weeks prior is the best coach in NFL history... I couldn't agree more. thatoneguy
I think MN has a great opportunity here. Can Chilly, promote Frazier to interim head coach. Since this season is a loss, it gives Frazier a half-season audition to see if he looks like a possible long-term replacement for Childress, and it gives MN plenty of time to work up a list of other candidates. fishersofmen
Not only was cutting him the right thing to do he should be executed as well. What a waste of air...... Gus Tinucci of Tinucci's restaurant in Woodbury and Newport was the caterer that Randy Moss blew up at last Friday after practice. The Vikings cater lunch for the team in the locker room every Friday. Tinucci said his family's restaurant has done this a handful of times the past several years in part because they became friends with former center Matt Birk. Gus explained what happened last Friday. "[Moss] came walking up," Tinucci said. "There were a couple of guys that were in line. I knew Brett [Favre] put his helmet down. I met him carving. I was carving some meat for a guy and all of a sudden I heard all this screaming and I was like, 'Are you kidding me?' I knew who it was immediately. I looked up and there he was. [Moss said], 'I wouldn't feed this [expletive] to my [expletive] dog.' I was in shock. I couldn't believe it. It was quiet in there." Tinucci said one player told Moss to shut up. He also said two Vikings employees approached him and apologized. "We just went about our business," he said. "I had more compliments. The guys that were there and heard it and saw it, I think they were very appreciative of us being there. I wasn't going to say anything because we appreciate being there. We want to come back there. What am I going to do, call him out? Go, 'Hey, if you don't like it, get the hell out or whatever?' I'm in their house." Tinucci said his buffet included ribs, chicken, a round of beef carving station, pasta, vegetables and dessert. "It looked good, like we always do," he said. "I don't know if he was starving for attention or what. But nobody laughed I can guarantee you that." "He just slammed us," Tinucci added. "It wasn't us personally because he doesn't know us from Adam."

greebs
team's biggest mistake was to sign this tool in the first place knowing he comes with a ton of baggage and is in it for himself. then an even bigger mistake is made for releasing him because he starts acting like the guy you knew comes with a ton of baggage and is in it for himself.really vikes, what did you expect? (you know the story about the person who picked up the snake, nursed it back to health and then wondered why the snake then proceeded to poison him and told the person that you knew I was a snake when you picked me up in the first place.)Expect more stuff to come out in the following days about stuff randy did to show just how classy of a guy he really is. Coach1310
The biggest issue to me is.....note to Brad.... YOU KNEW YOU WEREN'T GETTING MOTHER THERESA.... Moss comes with baggage and you knew that or SHOULD have known that. IF you have the ego to trade for him and think you can make it work THEN you better man up and make it work. To me it screams of a control freak who wants to let the team know who is in charge.... they already know that and I have a sneaky feeling they don't give a rip! They obviously aren't playing their butts off for you and you can't seem to prepare them like an NFL coach should. There are 20 NFL Coaches and GM's that would love to have the roster you have..... get over yourself....All of these NFL coaches who think they walk on water.....to Brad I say... you may have the best plays in the world, BUT NOBODY is paying $$$ to watch you cover your mouth when sending in plays and NOBODY is buying a Brad Childress shirt at the local sports shop and NOBODY really believes you know what you are doing. A great coach finds a way to get his players to play for him, puts them in the right spots and RESPECTS them for the skills they have..... it is a PLAYERS league.... if you want it to be all about you, the coach, head to the NCAA....OKAY.. now that my rant is over. As crazy as it sounds, a lot of this goes back to the TJack selection on draft day. Childress still believes this guy can be a good NFL QB and maybe he can be, but right now they don't believe he is so we've spend how many years chasing winning with Gus and begging Favre(no matter what many think, last year was a blast to watch thanks to him) and now we have an underachieving team, with egos abound and the writing on the wall.... have a safe trip to L.A....... I hear the weather is beautiful there this time of year!
Triple_D
What if this happens; Moss stays and Chilli gets the axe? Now that would be funny!!! ESPN is reporting that Ziggy is none to pleased with any idea to put Moss on wavers. So Moss staying and Chilli going could be an option..... Why do you people believe ESPN reporting? They were proven wrong for 2 years running on Favre coming back, their job is to sensationalize, not get it right. KFAN today was reporting all kinds of Moss situations, and Childress met with Wilf yesterday, after the game| I will trust the local guys on this one, thank you very much. Dark Cloud
Did anyone catch Chillys comments at the press conference today? He danced around the Moss issue then said. “I’m really at peace. The decisions I make are for the best welfare of the Minnesota Vikings. I can look myself in mirror every night when I go to bed and know that in my heart of hearts.”I bet that is comforting to the Fans... Maybe he dosnt have any mirrors in his house... greebs
sounds like only one team put in a claim on moss. simply amazing that a guy with that much talent has that much baggage that teams are afraid to have him on their team. I was kind of hoping that the raiders would pick him up and we'd read about how randy got his a$$ handed to him by their coach.
FISHINGURU
He'll be just fine with a coach like Fisher. Randy will see he's with a team that has a coach that wants to win and put in work to win. As you can see that isn't happening with coach Child, just happens Randy has the balls to say something about it.
zepman
31 teams PASSED on Randy Moss today....all but the Titans, and they most likely would have passed had Kenny Britt not been injured. If he does good it'll be because he's out of options and is soon to be out of work much like Barry Bonds was forced into retirement. His gig is up....and 31 out of 32 teams told him that today. It's been rumored that Ziggy was the one who pushed to get Randy in here in the first place...if that's the case, Ziggy is probably apologizing to Chilly instead of getting his walking papers in order. Antero
Look at Mosses production this year. Very few catches, why? His fans would say he is double covered. What #1 reciever isn't? His detractors would say because he is not trying.Does anyone think that the Pats and the Vikes (especially the Vikes) thought we do not want to throw to him? If a person watches the game he would see tht #84 is simply not open very often. The question is, why is he not open? We have the two reasons given above and I would suggest one more.... maybe he is just not that good anymore.Perhaps the Pats and the Vikes have learned just that. My quess is the Titans will soon learn the same.

My quess is the Titans will soon learn the same. That's a sensible way to look at things. However, one of the Vikings' key advantages has now been taken away. Whether or not Moss is on a big downslope athletically, other teams are still covering him like the valid deep threat he is, and that allows other receivers to get open more often. So Moss's numbers may not be impressive, but it seems to me he has a valuable role to play on the field. Too bad he never learned to keep his mouth shut off the field. Antero
In the Jets game Cromartie covered him alone, just about every play. Sure, he got one TD. I think more and more teams will see that he can be covered one on one and gamble that he will not be as productive as before.
Steve Foss
I think more and more teams will see that he can be covered one on one and gamble that he will not be as productive as before. And that's precisely when he'll start turning it on and making those big plays. Well, as long as he's having a "good Randy day," as long as he's happy with how the coach and the media are treating him, and as long as he likes his look in the mirror that morning. If anything's a little off in Randy's world, ALL BETS ARE OFF!
Antero
Why do we think he can just turn it on anymore? I guess all I am trying to say is " maybe his days as a elite reciever are over". Note the hilighted maybe. I quess if he still has a lot left in the tank he now will have to show it otherwise no big contract will be coming his way. Exactly. No doubt this guy is a big enough jerk to be blackballed from the league completely. Moss and Ricky Williams should just move over seas together in live in marihuana heaven for eternity.
