Plenty of birds this fall...(17 species.)

Recommended Posts

It has been a pretty decent fall season to be out photographing birds on the north shore of Lake Superior this year. Enjoy a sampling smile

I'm sure that's a bit overboard, but enjoy none the less. Comments and critiques always welcome.

Wow some really great shots. First thing that I noticed was the back ground on them. Nice backgrounds that went so well with the birds. Although the White Throated may just be my favorite bird, due to its song, I have to say the last Rusty Black bird shot is my favorite shot. Again, the back ground is great...and the fore ground....and the subject....and the lighting. I spent some time looking at that one.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.

Jason, I plan on being in that neck of the woods on Friday. Maybe I'll see you out there. Check the nature trail that runs perpendicular to the shore going away from the lighthouse. That area can always be good this time of year. In the past two weeks, I've turned up three black backed woodpeckers in that location.
