ShawnZ
Rusty Blackbird, Agate Bay, Two Harbors. American Pipit, (Water Pipit), Cross River area. Spotted Sandpiper, (okay, not from fall, but very close.) Minnesota Point, Duluth. Baird's Sandpiper, Minnesota Point, Duluth. Short Billed Dowitcher (front), Stilt Sandpiper (back), Duluth. Jack Peterson
Those are very nice pictures. My family has been to Grand Marais/the North shore twice a year for the last 15 or 16 years, and I always enjoy taking pictures of the scenery and wildlife.Especially in the fall and winter months. Hwood
Wow some really great shots. First thing that I noticed was the back ground on them. Nice backgrounds that went so well with the birds. Although the White Throated may just be my favorite bird, due to its song, I have to say the last Rusty Black bird shot is my favorite shot. Again, the back ground is great...and the fore ground....and the subject....and the lighting. I spent some time looking at that one.

micpic
All very nice! Really like the snow buntings. I'm going to try to get a decent shot of one of those this year even if they have to pry my frozen body from the ground!Mike

MN Shutterbug
Spotted Sandpiper on the dead wood for me, mainly due to the dead wood. It's a unique environmental shot, which is one of my favorite types of photos.

JayinMN
Great collection! You really know how to make these birds work for you! Agate bay has been producing some interesting birds lately. I think I am going to check it out on Friday.
ShawnZ
Thanks for the kind words everybody.Jason, I plan on being in that neck of the woods on Friday. Maybe I'll see you out there. Check the nature trail that runs perpendicular to the shore going away from the lighthouse. That area can always be good this time of year. In the past two weeks, I've turned up three black backed woodpeckers in that location.
