The Twins have a chance at having the best record heading into the post season, with the Yankees and the Rays having to play each other 7 more times in the next 10 days. Man that would be awsome.

that would be pretty sweet. right now we're 4 games back of the yankees for best record.

at the very least, maybe we can lock up the division early and actually have a chance to set up our pitching rotation. meanwhile, hopefully the rays and yanks go right down to the last weekend of the year and enter the playoffs limping with no rotation set.

The rangers have one of the most stacked teams in baseball and they keep adding to it. If anything, they are underachieving.

Minnesota 48-23 at home. Yankees 49-25 at home. The dark horse....Colorado 50-22 at home.....29-42 on the road. If they could only play all their games at home this year!! HAHA!!

The fact that Rays and Yankees play each other 6 more times the next couple of weeks helps alot if they split and we can keep it going. Rays have Garza against a Yankee rookie tonight. It's definitely achievable if we can keep the roll going. I think we all remeber what happened the last two times we had home field throughout in the playoffs.

I agree we haven't had that luxury in spite of us totally dominating this division for close to a decade. It's seems every season we take it down to the last day or a play-off.

Gardenhire has never been "robbed" of Manager of the Year before. That said, considering the injuries the Twins have had (particularly losing Nathan for the whole season and Morneau for the second half), I think he deserves consideration this year.

It would be a huge boost if the Twinks could pass NY and Tampa and get home field advantage for the playoffs. I think that will be a bigger concern for them than lining up their rotation if they're still in the hunt for home field as the regular season winds down. I would rather have Slowey facing Texas at Target Field than Pavano facing the Rays in Tampa Bay.

The Twins could go win all their remaining games and go 104-58,,, they still won't have home field throughout the playoffs,,, only the AL.

Good point. As the Vikings will surely attest, it's important to at least have home field through your league's portion of the playoffs though
