Thanks, the boats were fun (some of the time) I was in when we were playing with the USSR up north. I spent time in R-5 on the Hunley (AS-31) in Norfolk as well as the Norfolk (SSN-714) in RC div.

I decommed my tub in 96 then got out. If the enviromentalists seen the stuff we threw overboard, they'd a had a fit.

New app for me is quadrant standard.

Idk what it does or what it means but my buddy with a EVO had me download it on my new phone and it scored a 1863 which he said was really good.???

I will probably get rid of it but it did some tests and it scored a lot better than my original Droid did.

Man, Angry Birds is one addicting, battery draining app!!

Word Feud is one I am on everyday. It is a Scrabble game, there is a free version and a pay version. The free version is fine- an ad pops up after you lay down a word, but really no biggie.

That's just a benchmark app. If you root your phone, dowload SetCpu and overclock the CPU you can get around 2400, I had it with my Nexus One and the HD2 did 2650 with a Cryo ROM. I saw people getting in the 3200s.

I already got rid of quadrant standard since I really have no idea what it means.

I did add a artist to Pandora though, Colt Ford. Idk where that guy came from but he cracks me up and is truly something different.

Here's one for you. Its called Phantom Alert. Its an integrated traffic info, traffic camera app that shows you the current traffic camera info based on your location along with a map of traffic info in you area. It also has a user data base of speed trap/traffic camera info that will alert you if there is one in the direction you are heading. If you live in a metro area its pretty slick!

My favorite app is redlaser. Basically it will read the upc barcode on any product, then search for the lowest price. If your in any retail store that matches prices such as scheels or gander, you can show a manager the best price and save a lot of money. Works well at electronics stores as well.

gasbuddy is an app that will show you the lowest gas prices in the area, based on zipcode.

trapster is kind of a fun app. It will show you the locations of speed traps and traffic cameras, etc. I found it surprisingly accurate.

Cardstar is one that I also like. Basically you scan your retail outlet discount card (like petco, american eagle) for example and it stores and organizes them. You just show your phone to the clerk and they can scan the barcode on your phone. My wallet is half the weight now.

The latest & greatest app I have added worth a mention is Cloud Connect. Features sharing, file sharing, supports Google Easy Connect, local & ip printing, automatic discovery of networks, access anywhere, turns your mobile device into a network drive, supports all file transfer protocols (ftp, sftp, ect), network media streaming, upload and download multiple files at the same time, plus much much more. The hitch is the app is priced at $24.99, which is now the priciest app I have purchased tp date, but Cloud Connect actually does all of the things that 3 to 5 other needed apps ranging in price from $5.99 to $9.99 claim to do (the reviews say other wise) and Cloud Connects reviews were saying they had been down this path with app purchases and bit the bullet and bought Cloud Connect and are very happy and pleased so far.

I am into this app only about 30% of the way but it is well worth the money for what I have setup so far. I have setup my smartphone as a network storage drive giviitaly phone it's own network and IP and need to further some things to make it accessible as an online streaming source. Still figuring things out and do a final test to confirm it works, but it seems the app auto assigns your phones names as a registered DNS domain name for you so your phone becomes a web hosting server. As the storage of these smart phones gets closer to a 100g, their systems keep improving as they always seem to do with the next upgrade, and the Generation data networks keep going forward and getting faster, (of course you have to have some unlimited data plan or a good profitable reason to justify doing it) hosting a zero down time web anything from your hip pocket is just around the corner.

Games come & go, but games that require thought stick around for some reason. grin

Yep Cloud Connect works. Streaming content (music) from my home network here at work just happens with this app as long as it has found the network one one time locally. It is that easy as long as you have an accessible network to stream from. It is nice to pull a PDF from e-mail, save to my iPhone and edit or convert the PDF file with Print Bureau, send to both my office and home for printing then FTP it to my server storage address for my work. Where I can access it as long as I have WiFi or 3G.
