quote=CAMAN Angry birds is in the market, in fact it's almost always listed in the featured apps. If i remember right you have a slightly older phone? If that's correct it may not be available for it. /quote]

Yeah, I have Android 1.6, but it is supposed to be updated to 2.2 sometime soon.

I had android 1.5 on my phone (HTC Hero from Sprint) and it wont update by itself. You need to go to the HTC HSOforum and down load the new software to your PC. Then make sure you have the HTC Synch installed on your PC and remove the memory card. When you upgrade to the new 2.3 OS it will wipe your phone clean. This also increased the speed of most things on my phone as well.

After I did this, I was also able to find Angry Birds and play the begeezes out of it. grin

I received Iphone apps giftcards for Christmas and would like the Navionics North app. I only see the USA Lakes version 1.0 available on the App Store listing. In earlier posts several of you have the NORTH lakes app and even said you were waiting for version 4.4 to come out. The v1.0 of USA is not what I want then. I did find the NORTH version on Navionic's own site but when I click on "buy app" I get a message from Itunes that is is not available in US.

Any of you able to buy the NORTH app lately?

CFR, I believe they merged the entire country into one app for iPhone. Somebody mentioned it in another discussion we were having about the app in the ice forum. So the one you were looking at should be the one you want.

Bear with a stupid question for a new smart-phoner (well, it's my wife's, actually). Where do you go to get all of these apps? Is there a better place than the Android Marketplace?

LMIT said AppBrain. AppBrain is a nice app since it keeps track of what apps you download and can reload them again if you happen to get a new phone.

However, there are many apps that aren't listed with AppBrain, so the marketplace is a good second choice.

Also, there are SOME places that only list apps on their own HSOforum, so keep your eyes open when you're on the computer, to see if there's a way to access the site through an app on the go.

I heard Verizon will be avail on iPhones now?

Hopefully this is true because the AT&T cell service around our area is total spotty junk.

Anyone heard this?

I dont know about your area, but in my area ATT service went from so so last summer, to great this fall. Anywhere I go in my area has 3g coverage now. I dont remember the last time I lost coverage, or couldnt make a call, and I travel a quite a bit.

Yes, it has been confirmed. You won't be able to use any IPhone though, you will have to purchase a new CDMA phone (all other iphones are GSM).

confused Cdma? Gsm?

I've got 8gigs & 3 terabytes on my desktop but I'm challenged on that phone stuff.

What does that mean Dtro? Just hafta get a new iPhone? Thx.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
