Best water proof boots

I'm looking for a pair of boots that are:

1)Light weight

2)Comfortable (for long walks)

3)100% WATERPROOF

4)And tall (around 16")

5)Cost has no affect

6) Easy on / off

I am staying away from Gore-tex. EVERY peice of Gore-tex clothing I own including boots were only waterproof for a couple years if that...but that can be adifferent thread! Thanks!

Schnees. I have a two pair and Dad has one pair and they are just plain awesome. They stand behind their products better than any of the other boot companies hands down. Their warranty? "We're from Montana and we will make it right". They have quite a few choices in that 16" range.

I have the lacrosse alphaburly and like them, very comfortable and light weight. I did happen to puncture them the first time I ever wore them so I don't know how "burly" they are but after a quick patch job they have worked great.

I say rubber boots also. The newer designs are very comfortable and designed more like hiking boots or shoes.

I have the Cabelas brand rubber boots. They are very similar to the Lacrosse alphaburly but cheaper.

I think the rubber boots are you best option for waterproof.

Have you worn rubber boots during hot weather pheasant hunts?? Seems to me that they would get hot and start rubbing.

I've worn gore-tex boots for years and if you treat them with silicone on a periodic basis - as most manufacturer's recommend - they'll stay water proof until they wear out/come apart at the seams.

I strictly hunt pheasants with knee high rubber boots. Don't do a lot of early season hunting but do run out to SD for the opener, so 5 days of walking there. Absolutely pound the ground come December and I find the rubber boots I have to be extremely comfortable. No rubbing issues whatsoever. I have the Cabela's brand.

I have a pair of Muck boots and they are the Wooly Max so they have the extra insulating I believe in them but they are as comfortable as you can expect from a boot. I previoudly had a cabela's brand rubber boot and liked them but they didn't keep my feet dry so I went with the Muck line and cannot complain. They have kept me dry in the water warm in the winter and I have walked miles through woods/swamps and have not had a complain.....in fact I even went out and bought the Muck base camp model (ankle high boot) to wear for everyday use in the winter and fall!!! Try on different models and then do research on the ones that fit the best as I thought different brands fit differently.

I have a pair of Lacross alpha Lite 3.5. they are really light weight, have great traction and the soles are comfortable to wear all day. I like how they have a "kick" guard on the front and back of the boots for when climbing over fallen trees and stuff like that. I would get another pair.
