Stickjiggler
I am looking for a decent smaller gas grill for tailgating at softball tourneys and weekend trips. What do you use and what do you like?
Jim Almquist
I have had one of the smaller Weber gas grills and it has worked out great. It comes with me on a lot of summer and winter fishing trips as well as when I go camping. My only complaint was that one side was hotter then the other so what you had to do is when it comes time to flip your meat was to move it from one side to the other side to cook everything at a more even temp. Most times I just use the 1# cylinders but I have a hose that hooks up to the 20# tank. The more you use the grill you will find that it needs to be in a box or you will get cooked junk that will fall out and make a nasty mess that will take Dawn to clean up. I have cleaned the Otter sled more then once
prov1900
I have the Coleman Roadtrip. It is a little big if you don't have the room for it, but I, like Jimalm, bring it with us when we go ice-fishing. It fits nicely in its own sled. Have brought it with to the Big 12 Championship Game and had an awesome tailgating experience. Lots of cooking area, easy cleanup (as long as you stay on top of it), plus the versatility of doing eggs/pancakes/etc on the griddle portion. Actually, since my home grill is on its last leg, it has become my full-time home grill as well. It cooks a lot of meals before the little green bottle needs replacement. dewey1
I JUST PICKED UP A WEBER Q 200, AND LOVE IT. IT RUNS ON 1# CYLINDERS, OR FOR $35 YOU CAN BY THE 20# ADDAPTER. IT IS A VERY EVEN COOKING GRILL. A LITTLE SPENDY AT $189, BUT ITS A WEBER! WELL WORTH THE $.
DTro
The WeberQ is the best grill I've ever owned. Not only is it portable, it's durable (poweder coated finish and cast iron grill), and it doubles as a nice grill for the deck at home (with the accessory stand).I would buy another one in a heartbeat. B. Amish
i got the weber Q as a wedding gift - great gift idea by the way - and love it. i've brought it ice fishing, in the boat, camping, and to deer camp.it's a little spendier, but the quality is there. it's also my home grill. Gus
Another vote for the weberQ. for portable grills, it cooks like no other. Wish I had one, I've only borrowed one. Makes my portable seem like ... well like I'd rather just not say.
Dragonsm
You can't go wrong with the Q....Both my father and I own one as a portable grill and they work great. It cooks great steaks, burgers, pork chops, kabobs, chicken....etc.However, I also enjoy using it for breakfast.....by trial and error, I found that it cooks great french toast....used it this past weekend to cook up bacon, sausage, and french toast for breakfast. dewey1
ANYWHERE THAT SELLS WEBER. HOME DEPOT, ACE HARDWARE, LOWES, TARGET, EVEN ACME TOOLS HAS THEM. CHECK OUT THE WEBER WEB SITE TO FIND A DEALER NEAR YOU. THE 200 IS A NICE SIZE. THEY HAVE BIGGER ONES, BUT THEN YOUR OUT OF THE "PORTABLE" SIZE. THE 200 HAS REPLACED MY EVERYDAY GRILL (WEBER SUMMIT), UNLESS I'VE GOT A GROUP TO FEED. IT DOES JUST FINE FOR MYSELF, THE WIFE AND 2 KIDS! I DID BUY THE ADDAPTER HOSE TO FIT A 20# TANK, BUT A 1# WILL COOK 4-6 MEALS.
