Osprey revisited

Last year, the 2 times I went by the osprey nests, it was dark and gray out. This time, I chose the day and it gave much better results. The first few were shot in the morning. I then took a several hour break, shot a couple small birdies, and came back later in the afternoon when the light was from the other direction. I also had a much better angle in the afternoon. I expected a few more good shots, but it was too common to get one eye in the light and the other in shadow. In the afternoon, it was really enjoyable watching the chicks get fed. Unfortunately, the parent had her back to me while she was feeding the one chick. Thus, no pictures of that.

Thanks all. This will probably be the last you see from me for awhile. My tires are wearing out and my gas bill has gone too high and I don't even have anymore missions in mind. I shot quite a few new birds this year and improved my shots on others. Not only that, but I just dropped a bunch of change on fly fishing equipment, which is a hobby I'm just starting. Other than a golf tournament mid August, my camera will probably be sitting in a corner somewhere crying itself to sleep every night.
