"four time" is getting on Gordon's nerves and it's pretty funny. You're right, next week could be ugly if they get together again. Hendrick said he's happy to see Gordon fired up but doesn't want them to start wrecking each other either. lol.

It's going to be a very interesting year between these two. They both want to get a fifth championship before the other and it looks like to me that the 48 is trying to take out the 24 just about any chance he can and Jeff has had just about enough of it and is retaliating. My 2 cents.

I highly doubt JJ is trying to take out the 24. They may be racing hard but they will not take each other out on purpose.

Heck, Gordo owns part of the 48 team.

I have to believe that Jeff and Jimmy have to much respect for each other to purposely take each other out on purpose.

I don't think any crash is cool as the drivers can get hurt.

Not cool at all.

Would it be cool if that was a family member and he died???

I simply cannot understand how a crash can be cool when a driver could get hurt bad or die. Whats the big thrill in that for anyone?

No, not in that one.

Can't a person watch a race for the good racing and not think its cool when a person crashes? Seems if some do not see blood or a crash, then its a boring race.

One does not know before a crash if someone is going to get hurt.

My question would be, why is it cool when someone wrecks a car and the possibility of a injury???????

Simply not cool.

Yep, JJ took a heck of a shot as did Dinger. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose your brakes at a 190 mph going into a turn. I'm sure I'd have to clean my shorts after something like that grin Seems that the switch to the spoiler has made the 48 mortal just like everyone else out there in the field. Nice to see some other cars up front and challenging for the lead. Darlington was pretty entertaining and the racing this year seems to be much better at all of the tracks. We'll see if the 48 can get back into the mix this week.

When they interviewed Dinger, he stated that he thought his brakes were gone before that crash. My question would be, why didn't he pull in the pits to see what was wrong with his brakes?

May have had alot to do with the crash.

JJ will do well again this season. He is just in a bad stretch that all drivers go through.

Gordo has really come on as of late. We will see what happens when we get through the tracks that he excels at.

It didn't break my heart to see Four-time leave the race early.

Harvey, just relax. Wrecking is part of racing and obviously nobody would be celebrating if the result was a serious injury or worse. Did you happen to hear the crowd cheer as Four-time's car was reduced to scrap? smile

ya your right wrecking is part of racing

that one looked bad cuz it hit on the drivers door

have to say those cars are built that was a pretty good hit

but that what happens when you run in the back

As I stated, yes there are accidents. Very easy to say relax after the fact. No way to know when an accident will hurt or kill a driver. Seems only a few years ago that about 3-4 drivers were killed in a very short time period.

You should tell the loved ones of the dead drivers to just relax as the accidents their loved ones were in was just racing.

What the heck Limitout, it was just an accident.

Maybe I watch a race for a different reason. I love to watch a great race but for me, blood and crashes are not needed.

I guess one needs to understand racing and what it takes to win and not just cool crash.

I will never understand that type mentality.

I have to say it didn't break my heart to see the 48 out of the race. I sure did enjoy the racing up front last night. It was good to see the give and take between guys. I think Kahne and Montoya are gonna have a little dust up before the year is done. I am sure the 48 will be back next week with a good shot at the winners circle. It would be nice to see Gordo race past him for a win though. Another interesting track this week. What the heck happened to the roush fenway cars this year? They seem to be a bit behind the curve right now.
