Birch Lake Eagles

Lots of eagles around the last couple of days. There are three nests within walking distance of my house, and it looks like all three might be occupied this year.

This one hasn't had occupants for the last three years:

Nice series. I especially like the one where he's taking off from the ground. If you stop and think about it, that's a pretty unique angle and bg.

I'm so jealous. We haven't seen the sun for 11 days and the high today of 37 is the warmest it's been all month. Actually, we haven't seen 40 since December 1. I think our state is upside down.
