BlueLundFishrman
Vikes and Lions, only two teams in the NFC to not go to the Super Bowl since 1978. Every other NFC team has made it since then.
Steve Foss
Wow, not easy to find a meaningful stat over a 32-year period that gangs those two losers. Good one, BLF!

Juneau4
Should have had my bifocals on. At least there are 5 AfC teams that haven't been there. The Jets and Chiefs should have been on the list with Jaguars, Texans, and Browns.

PierBridge
Who's the only NFC North/Central team to lose a Super Bowl while being a 13 point favorite and having BrettFavre at QB along with the NFL's number one defense going into said Bowl in the last 20 years while losing to the Lions? LMAO! I remember saying to myself durng the game if those prayers are answered I'd never ask for any other wish ever in the NFL. I lied....... BrettFavre was our QB of all things and that my friends has obviously driven people like BLF NUTs for the rest of their life's. And not ever making another Super Bowl will pale in comparison to having the PACKER legend shatting on everything Packerish while having his best year ever while donning the Purple Jersey. Thanks BrettFavre! and HA/HA to you BLF!...keep posting your obsession and frustrations all you want my friend nothing can help you now! we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted February 10, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted February 10, 2010 Did you see what the Cowboys did to the Vikes in the Play-offs. Especially when everyone and their brother said that Dallas was on a roll and the best team in the NFL,,,, They lived up to their billing and stomped the Vikes.... ohhhh, wait, that's only in BLFs DREAMs
fishersofmen
Bluelund gets very bored in his moms basement in South Dakota and often times has nothing better to do than trash the Vikings on a Minnesota forum in an attempt to recieve some attention. Yawn........ You see folks when you live in a state that doesn't have a pro-football team of there own to cheer for it is very easy to become jealous, angry, and bitter over your neigbors football team who just made it to the NFC championship game. That jealousy and anger often turns into an obsession leaving one to try and find any means possible to make others feel the way they do. BlueLundFishrman
I was just stating a fact fishersofmen. Unlike yourself, but hey you go ahead and take your personal attacks, I can handle them. They don't faze me. Sorry I didn't realize it was against the law to not talk in a positive manner about the Vikings on this forum.Let me shine a little light on the rock you live under fishersofmen, a majority of the football fans here are Vikings fans. Isn't that right SDPROV. And yes Rick, I did see how the Cowboys did against the Vikings. Not the high point of our season. By far the worst game of the year for us. But the Vikings had a much more talented set of players than Dallas the past season. Dallas was an overachieving team, 2/3 of the way through the season they were being written off (by the same media who jump on their bandwagon during the end of the season and playoffs), and everyone was talking about Phillips not being around to coach them next season. So I knew it was going to take a perfect, or near perfect performance from the Boys to win the game in the dome. Instead the Vikings played probably their best game of the season. Maybe the Vikes played the game against Dallas like it was their super bowl. I was certain you guys had the Saints, especially after we gave the blueprint how to beat the Saints in their dome. we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted February 10, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted February 10, 2010 Yes, hold onto the football and don't let it get into OT where the refs take over However the cowgirls would have choked if they'd played NO instead of the Vikes in the playoffs. They might not have taken as big a beat down but it would have been a beat-down just the same.
harvey lee
It all does not matter as the Queens lost in the end.The Vikes beat Dallas but it was not for the big one.
soldoncass
BLF, Sooooooooooooooo...what you're saying really is: The Lions suck...............since they are the only NFC team to NOT get to super bowl since 1977. Interesting how some people twist stats around to suit their purposes. I suppose I could add one of those kind, too: Between 1974 and 1977, there was only ONE TEAM that was in the SB 3 times.(MN VIKINGS)...........insinuating ,of course, that the Lions, Packers, Cowboys, etc. ALL sucked . I am not a fan of twisting stats.....you conveniently excluded the VIKINGS, by starting your stat, right AFTER the VIKES 3 out of 4 run..... fishersofmen
Just a little sarcasm bluelund... I just can't imagine spending my time on a forum based out of Dallas only to make it my personal agenda to speak negatively about the Dallas Cowboys. But hey if thats what floats your boat. Carry on...... Good point soldoncass. Again all the Packers and Cowboys fans can do is constantly resort to the past like an angry wife because in the present which is all that really matters they both got their a$$e$ kicked..... BlueLundFishrman
Just to set the record straight, the Lions are the only NFC team to never get to any Super Bowl. For all the successes (winning NFC Central & North titles, NFC Championships, getting Herschel Walker away from the Cowboys, LoveBoat, luring Brett Farve out of re-re-retirement) the Vikings still have not won the big one. Winning the Super Bowl is like graduating with a Masters Degree, you'll always have that on your resume. Someday perhaps you'll get over that hump and realize what it's like. In the mean time, you'll have to be satisfied with victories over Green Bay or Dallas in lieu of being Super Bowl champs.
