norma
I prefer a mono or co-polymer for vertical jigging, P-Line and Trilene XL are the top two for me. Been thinking of trying a spool of Silver Thread, anyone use it? Braids work great for trolling, rigging, and bouncing, just feels wierd when I jig with it, the line has a "snap" to it when I pull the jig off the bottom that throws me off. So, what line, and what pound test do you like to jig with?
jwmiller33
for my jigging rods, i like to use 8lb mono for the eyes, either trilene or stren. i know i could probably go down to 6lb, but i like to keep 8lb on all my reels so i can use them for trolling cranks and bottom bouncer rigs too. i sometimes keep 10lb on all my reels too. i cant tell a difference between 6-10 lb for jigging anyways
Northlander
In my opinion there is no better jigging line than Power Pro. Best feel, great hook sets in current or long casts and it doesnt bind up on itself like flatter superlines. If your worried about fish seeing it put a mono shocker on it. skolfoppa
I use Fireline in 4 or 6#. It lets me feel the most subtle pick up and there is no slack in the set. Most of the time I use a UL set up, but when using the walleye stick I will use the 6# smoke. Skol

mojogunter
Jigging on pool#4 I use Suffix performance Braid in florescent orange. Great visability to see bites strong and has no line memory. In clearer water I use Fireline Crystal
croixflats
That Sufix performance stretch braid looks to be a good jigging line. It looks to have the performance of braid with dacron added for a 6% stretch. You get the feel of a braid with added minimal stretch to lesson the likely hood of puling the jig out of the fishes mouth. I was amazed of the Suffix product line up for different types of fishing after viewing their HSOforum. With that line up gives a guy a legit argument to have many rod set ups

OnAFly
I like 6# Trilene XL for shallower stuff and smoke Fireline in 8# for deeper stuff. I've switched to Gamma for ice line and like it a lot, so maybe I'll spool up with some of their open water stuff this spring to give it a try.
