Frozen shack

What do you think of 100 grams of pyrodex with a 405 grain round in the .50 cal muzzy?

If my buddy does shoot out his shack, I will be standing on the other side of the pickup with eye protection. I might wear a cup too. smile

Eye buster also...2 weeks ago my friends jack slipped and the handle split his eyebrow in half....nothing that a half dozen or so stiches couldn't fix. Didn't knock him out though, thick headed cuss....did make him a little woozy and wobbly in the knees.

LMAO Marmot . Can you video it for us . I think maybe we should ask some airforce personal to do a flyby and send a rocket to knock that shack loose . LOL

Man I wished I lived closer because I would have that shack out in no time just using my chisel and a jack . It would cost the owner dearly in beer though and that shack would become my home for the rest of the day . LOL

Really I hate being sarcastic at the owner's expense but this is not rocket science at all . 1hr job at most and out she comes .

maybe put the fish house in the classifieds as well. their fee, chisel it out! grin

Ive actually got a really good idea for removing it, it just popped into my head. my buddy did it a few years ago, and it worked excellent!! he pulled up about five feet from it and eased into the gas pedal of his chevy! didnt brake the fish house frame from the ice, but he got his fish house off!! ended up being firewood after that affair!! im trying to find the pics of my buddies from that day when they thought they had a sweet idea!! the truck ended up half way up the hood to the windshield before it came to a rest. it was hilarious!!

That there is funny. grin

Personally, I am thinking that next year I will build a perminent out of blocks, wood and styrofoam. When it thaws, the blocks will sink (which will be good structure for the fish), the wood and styrofoam will float to shore. ~shaking head in disbelief~

Um yeah, concrete blocks are a bad idea. dimensional lumber or foam seems like a better idea. I hate littering all together, but at least if the foam is left behind (if for some reason you absolutely cant get it out), its recoverable.

I seem to remember some trick about using a steel cable to pull under the skids, anyone have any experience with this.

Each spring/summer/fall I'm picking up [PoorWordUsage] that washes to shore from the ice/water folks (my shoreline is on the windward side, so I always get the flotsam/jetsam).

Heck, what'd be wrong with making the skids pontoons - so if it's stuck (or falls through) it'll float to shore in the spring? ;-)

Yes the ocean saltwater does freeze for sure and there is even a new series on T.V. about it called "iceroad truckers " These lads are hauling huge ,huge ,huge amounts of equipment across iceroads on the ocean for natural gas exploration . And yes they are crazy canucks . Google the show . I get a kick out of the lads .

Actually even using salt for loosening up this hut will not work at melting the ice around it if the temps are very, very cold .Eventually yes but not till things warm up . Here often they salt the heck out of the roads and if it stays at -20 or more it does absolutely nothing to clear the ice off the roads till temps rise .

I see someone mentioned using a truck to bull it free . That one has been tried a time or two and the results never seem to change . LOL

Mother nature sure has quite a solid grip ,eh for an old lady .? LOL
