Another season of Fantasy Football

This is the last week of football, and yet there was a lot of crazy things that happened over the year. People getting hurt or whatever it might have been.

How did you all do this year?

I had a mediocre team this year but had some strange things happen at the end of the season to get me into the Super Bowl.

The week that the Vikings got trounced by Carolina I was going against Steve Smith in the first round of our playoffs and had a fairly substantial lead and only a season high by Smith would knock me out of the playoffs. Well, we all know what happened. Winfield didn't show up, Smith went off, and I lost my FFL game by 2 points, sending me to the toilet bowl bracket.

Then lo and behold on Wednesday I got a text message from a buddy while I was driving back to ND for Xmas who said there was a scoring correction in the Arizona/Detroit game and that the pass from Warner to Boldin was changed to a run, since it was a backward pass. The guy who had Steve Smith also had Warner so that cost him four points and I ended up going to the Super Bowl and he to the Toilet Bowl because of that. Needless to say there were some unhappy people in our league but the rules are the rules and it was only proper to make the correction.

Last week was our Super Bowl and it ended up in a tie! Our tie breaker is QB points but my opponent had Rivers (21 pts) and I had Schaub (20 pts) so he won. Quite the way to end the season but I couldn't complain too much since I was pretty fortunate to even be in the finals and I still took home a portion of the pot.

In the final week of our league and am in the championship matchup down 8 points from last weeks games! Had a final regular seson record of 10 wins to 3 losses.

Andre Johnson has been a HUGE part of my team as well as a surprising rb trio of MOJO, cedric benson, and ricky williams!

I won my division in each of the two leagues that I am in; lost in the first round of the playoffs in each league as well (lost in large part due to that Peyton Manning Thursday night game performance).

Won one league and took second in the other. Got lucky with the #1 (I had the most points in a 3-way tie) seed in the league I won as the score of the 2-3 game was like 150-130 (in a 10 team league), whereas I won the 1-4 matchup 90-80. Won the super bowl 96-78.

i took second in both the leagues that i played in on ESPN! I got beat by 11 points becuase of reggie wayne and clark not playing much at all last week!

All in all, got a little playing cash again, so it was fun!

Looks like I am going to pull off second place unless cedric benson can come up with a 41 point performance tonight which is highly unlikely! My only player to show up this week was rice!!

AP....argh! the overall #1 pick. I chose Westbrook even though my gut told me to take chris johnson when both were available. I couldnt score WR points if my pink floyd collection was riding on it.

To advance to championship bracket I had a 30 plus point lead with David Akers as kicker when Phi played NYG 2 weeks ago. My opponent had the Phi TE Celek and the Phi WR (Jackson?) Anyways those two combined for like 40 points

I won points money in my 10 man league which was a very nice payout.

I put up the points but was unlucky with my matchups and ended up 5th (top 4 made the playoffs). The two guys who had the best record all season lost in the first round which I was thrilled about since one was basicly the saints and the other was just getting lucky.

I finished 4th in my league. A 12 team league. Acutally 4 of us had an 11-6 record but I had the lowest point total.

The Pro Pick'em thing where you pick the winner out of every game played each week, I won that. Out of 65 players I took it all. $350 for my luck, I went and bought a darn near new clam 6800 with it. Woooo hoo!!!

12 team league, i was 11-2 and took the 1st seed into the playoffs. I cruised to the superbowl and then went into the vikings/bears monday night game needing 21 points from AP and the vikings defense to win. At halftime i had it in my mind that i was done, still down by 19. I ended up with a 5 point win and $425. Thanks guys for the new St. Croix Avid and whatever else i decide to buy!

Won my league for the 2nd year in a row. It's a $200 dollar buy in, Winner takes about $1300 depending on how much FA money was spent throughout the year. Here's how it played out.

congrats on the win! if you dont mind me asking, what did you pay to get in?

Its $150 to get in, then you get $50 FA money (I usually spend most of mine) So its around $200 total. I took home something like $1300 last year, not sure what the total will be this year we get a set amount I think its $1200 and then 75% of what everyone spent in FA. Second Place gets a couple hundred and third place gets $150
