luckycrank
If you have the oportunity to win the game then and there At the goal line by a 2 point conversion . Why kick the extra point in hopes of a 50/50 chance of scoring first. I mean you have to get back into scoreing position anyway provided you get the ball first! you control youre fate then and there instead of at a coin toss for first possesion ( might as well be just a coin toss!)maybe paper , rock,m sissors is more apropriate! DTro
hindsight 20/20, but yes I agree that you should go for it there. You got em on the ropes, you just stuck the knife in, now twist it.I pretty much figured that whole drive that we would go for the tie. When was the last time you saw chilly do something aggressive like going for a win?
Gordie
My thought excactly. GO FOR IT. they were on fire on that last drive why let da bears go get an extingisher.Media woulda killed chilli if they woulda lost it anyway this way they at least lost with (can't seem to find any word that fits for this)
Jim Uran
I thought that too, but the way our offense was driving the ball and they were kind of iffy at best, we did the right thing(well maybe not) and took our chances in OT. We played a hell of a second half and they looked good.
walleyes12
Leech you mean our offense played a hell of a second half!!! Special teams, and defense, tried every which way to loose that game!
Jim Uran
Yep, you got me. The special teams were awful, the D was so-so in the 4th quarter. We had our moments. But when we spread out the field on offense we did really well.
walleyes12
Offense was hot, especially when Favre took control, and tuned out chillitard!
zamboni
I disagree. Why?? Because they would have ran the ball, and on several 3rd and shorts they tried running it and were stuffed. Plus if you don't make it and lose by 1, as a coach, Chilly would never hear the end of it. You take the point and the tie. On the other side of the ball, why Chicago didn't throw one hail mary is beyond me, and I don't blame the crowd for booing the decision to take a knee
Big Dave2
I don't think you could find one NFL coach that would go for the 2 point conversion in that situation. Thats 1 reason why college and high school football is so much more fun to watch. When's the last time you ever saw a team fake a FG or punt in the NFL?
