Sons 2nd Fall Turkey shot today.

We got home early this afternoon from Missouri and took a drive past our field and saw 7 toms and jakes. We ran home and grabbed the guns and camo and set out. I had Mitch set up at a funnel spot and I headed out to get around them. As I was cutting through the woods I came over a small hill and saw a couple ahead of me 20 yards out. I knew there was others in the bottom and I had shot a hen earlier in the season so I decided to pass on the shot. I busted the flock and several headed toward Mit. I slowly worked my way toward him and never did see another bird. He was on a high hill and I was working towards him and had gotten to 60 yards and just assumed the birds had gone a different direction when all heck broke loose. Birds were flying everywhere. Then the gun goes off and I see Mit stand up and he's giving me the fist pump. He hit it a little hard as it was running but he dumped it none the less. He said he was surrounded by birds and had a tough time getting on a male with all the eyes around him. Real proud of him.

Yep, the shotguns are ready for the next 3 months of predator action and the rifles should be done by the weekend.
