paceman
You bet, I have seen plenty of deer on super windy days. Find the thick stuff. This time of year it is hard to beat a nice tamarac swamp. Plenty of cover, plenty of food, Water. Pretty comfy in there. They won't move very far but they will mill around more than a person thinks. SledNeck
I wont move out of the house in this weather
Musky Buck
It maybe isn't ideal, but with these overnight temps they have to move some anyway unless they just loaded up then they can try to conserve as much as they can, get way off the road near bedding areas and hope for that milling around browsing kind of deer that is sheltered from direct wind, it would be a pretty chilly sit either way if you venture out. TruthWalleyes
I'll be in SE MN muzzleloading the next 3 days, wondering myself where i'll find these deer. Need a buck or 2 does. I suppose it might be best to find the really thick stuff and slowly walk through it, or best to sit next to it?

Neighbor_guy
So will the deer move in this 20++ mph winds?? Would you?Deer dont like it either. They will hunker down. Think thick. Think wind blocks. Find the deer. THey will not likely be finding you......
CodyDawg
Oh, yeah man! For sure! I would go find a fenceline in between some big fields and camp out there. Dont leave, the deer will come. Really!Just kidding of course. Natural movement will be extremely limited. If'n you are married, make some brownie points and stay home...you will need them when the wind goes down. Stratosman
Brother in law shot an 8 pointer this evening, and saw numerous other deer coming out to the fields... Deer will move when it this cold, they have to eat to survive, plain and simple.
Realtor Boy
I have hunted with a buddy everyday since last Fri and have only seen one deer up until tonight. I seen 3 does and he seen 7 and he dropped one at noon today. Had to go right into the bedding area to do it.. walk n stalk.
TruthWalleyes
No wife or brownie points here! I'll be out this afternoon, and the next 3 days...plan on staying out in the weather until my tags are full. Walk n Stalk sounds appropriate. If they are moving later in the mornings and earlier in the evenings, would it be wise to walk n stalk early and late? Sit late morning to early afternoon?Where i'm going there's a bunch of places with ZERO wind, even with high winds. I'm hoping to find them hurd'd up, sleep'n!
