Propane Safety Question

I leave mine outside usually, mostly because it just gives me more room in the shack, but sometimes on really cold days I'll bring it in. I think you'd be able to smell a propane leak pretty quickly. My buddy always has the tank inside with a sunflower attached to it and has never had a problem (other than burnt clothes and shack walls).

Keep it out...also, keep it off the ice outside if you are using a permenant fishouse that has a void space under the house as the gas can leak under the house and pool. I work in a hospital and have seen and heard many stories of leaky propane tanks. Keep them well ventilated and away from areas that can trap the gas, I'd hate to have to treat you this winter!!!Stay SAFE!!!!

i usually put mine outside.. cuz the regulator leaks and the last thing i want is a booomM!!!

If you have a leaky regulator I would replace it ASAP.

No need to loose costly fuel or take a risk it may somehow cause an explosion. Pretty cheap to replace, the fuel your loosing now will pay for it soon enough, and more importantly, no more unnecessary risks.

Why pay for propane just to let it leak out. Both dangerous and poluting. It's a simple and cheap repair.

Not fixing it is "Darwin Award" worthy!
