agreed on the coiled wire approach, I saw this before I actually wired mine, and asked anyone at work if they had an old charger around. no one did, and they wanted $20 for new ones. So i used the speaker wire until some old charger coiled wires show up.

It sits next to my sled on the trailer, but I do know that the lodge will fit in a full size Chev under a tonneau cover.

I have a chevy crew cab 2005 and the otter lodge doesn't fit. I'd say it is about 3 to 4 inches to long

Finally got my 96cm LED strips today.

Pulled them through some clear tubing, spliced to some bigger wire, capped the tubes with some elec tape and ran some coiled wire down to battery.

Zip tied one at the front, one at the middle.

Better bring some tanning lotion next time out. laugh

Nice idea dtro to pull the lights themselves through some Clear Tubing, I may have to do that to mine, just to protect them some more and make it easier to tape them to the upper bars, I used electrical tape instead of zip ties to avoid any rubbing on fabric, all though I have reflectix on teh ceiling. What diameter clear tubing is enough?

Can't take credit for the idea, but yes it works good.

At it widest dimension the ones I bought are 1.4cm or .55". I'm pretty sure I bought 7/8" OD (5/8" ID).

It was a fairly snug fit, so I ran a stiff wire through and fished it back by pulling rather than forcing it through by pushing.

Thanks guys! I guess I should have started a new one but thought since it has been warm and no ice that guys might be modding away and would like some of the old brought back up. I learned for next time MuskieJunkie :-). AndRo, I always liked your setup from when I was first looking at wiring the porty and if I didn't have the caddy, would have done it that way.

Thanks! I actually just sold my Frabill, I needed to lighten the load. The Frabill 7080 was 160lbs empty! Now I have the Otter Cabin Pro. I kept the clam power center and leds but let the custom box and wiring go with it. I'll be joining in on the Caddy Mods here soon, I have a few good ideas.

These light set ups are awesome! Great work guys. I might do a little copycat work myself. As far as finding LED's at a discount ...good luck. I've looked and best price I found was 23.99 for a string with 96 bulbs. If you have better luck let me know!
