That's because at the time our starting Q-Back was T-Jack...I would rather have Cutler than T-Jack any day of the week. I was on the Cutler wagon for a SHORT time until the compensation for him started to trickle in. He's definately not worth anything close to what the Bears gave up for him and the Bears are looking at a long and difficult road to recovery...especially without those draft picks. Ouch!!! They are in dire straights in Chicago right now.

I think I remember myself as saying giving up a first rounder would be a mistake. I think I said a second OR a third and Chester. FEW players value goes UP. He wasn't drafted in the first round, and he hasn't shown enough to make him worth a first rounder.

One example I can think of where a players value has gone up is Tom Brady. Wasn't he drafted in the 5th or 7th round? No team in the NFL would pass him up in the first round if they had known then what they know now

most people gave up on the idea of cutler once they heard what we would have to give up.

brady was drafted in the 6th round of the 2000 draft...alot of great players are drafted in the later rounds...another example of a players value going up is jared allen...he was drafted in the 4th round of the 04 draft.
