Good post, JSK76. I carry mine in my boat and switch it over to my sled when hard water season comes. You don't get a second chance on ice. Safety is too easy to forget. Don't let it be.

12 volt fan to circulate warm air down and helps keeping windows from fogging up!

Long handled gaff!

Broom hanging clips attached to the walls above the hole to hold your rods and extra clips to hold the rods when not in use!

A use small plastic coffee can for dipping water!

Man you people are complicated all I ever had in the fish house was something to sit on, bait, poles, lights, heater, tackle, maybe some food and drinks and thats bout it......

Have not had a permanent for years. We got in the habit of not leaving anything and leaving the door unlocked as there was always damage.

I remember in the news last year.. some 18 - 20 year old or so kids had an ice house on Minnetonka.. Looked like it was decked out like a college dorm room.. They lost the heater, DVD play, 40in LCD TV, Dorm fridge, generator... Not sure if these were rich kids who lived on Minnetona or what. They looked pretty sad on the news... Like kids who had Party on ice house ransacked.

I have a wheel house, so for me I have to remember the spare tire and tire wrench. A can of WD40 or similar spray has come in handy many times. A huge +1 on the TP!

A torch or hairdryer (with a generator) can fix a lot of problems out on the ice. (frozen locks, door latch, warm up a cold battery etc etc.) "Basicaly anthing you want to keep cold"......er...I mean warm.
