Wow, that's really cool to accidentally catch a brown like that! I've never actually made it out on any of the big lakes to troll but my dad used to quite a bit back in the '80s and if he's telling the truth they caught more big fish out there then I've ever seen. Did you keep it/mount it or is it still swimming?

if you do make your way to wyoming, definitely do some hiking in the winds..... you'll find lakes loaded with every type of trout, and if you know where to look, you'll find some of those golden critters as well..... beautiful country and a huge wilderness to explore without the regulations of a nat'l park..... just be prepared for any weather-- we got snowed on in mid-august.....

roughfish29 you got me excited about the Cannon River. Saw your similar posts on the river and stream board. Catch such a wide variety. You mention you catch a ton of walleye. Do you catch more walleye than sauger? I only have caught sauger. You catch the eyes on worms at the bottom too just like majority of fish you catch? Next summer I'm thinking of more wallleye and sauger dinners.
