On a side note, TJ's best play call was telling brett they missed the FG. I was with Brett...I couldn't watch either!

The D needs some work. Funny how you now count on the offense in tight spots but worry about the D. Seems like those roles change every 4-5 years.

Things worked out for the Vikings in the battle of 5-0's in La. Saints have the favorable schedule to lock up the #1 seed, but playing in a dome will work out a lot better for the Vikes than playing in the meadowlands.

And why after that long pass did we not try at least once or twice to throw the ball to the endzone?? Knowing that a fg would only put the vikes up by two and would allow the ravens to possibly win with a long field and lots of time left! Luckily the missed that long field goal but still, go for the dager when you are in the red zone!!

The best team in the NFC by far.....shouldn't have any trouble winning it all! Favre will get the Vikings their 1st championship!!! They've dominated every game this year, and should go 16-0 with a bye going into the playoffs. Remember...better do it now or you have to rely on TJACK for the future.

Having the Vikes D on my FBL, I never thought I would see a day this season where the Vikes D would be up huge then go negative in the same game.

I could see if the D had been crushed the whole game, but they were not.

I think it effected the whole team.

The up side is they always (only 6 games and pre) come back strong the following week after a boing of a game the week before.

At least Dtro got his drama on with this game.

I agree with the more time on the clock aspect, but i still think you can have a play or two to try and score the ball in a conservative way especially with a smart qb like favre. He would know that if no one was open to throw the ball away and you are still in field goal range!!

Plus, the way our d was playing it was almost a given that they were going to get into field goal range, which they did, we just got lucky that he pulled it left!! I would have been much more comfortable with a 6 point lead than the 2 point lead we had that won us the game! We won so it is all good but with a qb like favre it would have been nice to see them take one shot at a 6 point lead!

Again, what could they have done with 20 (or more) seconds? They missed the kick partly because of the length of the kick. Why was the kick as long as it was? They ran out of time! "the way our d was playing" if we had given them much more time, they probably score a TD, not just a FG try.

Or gives a six point lead and makes them score a td to win the game! And makes them have to go 30+ more yards to score to win!! But it doesn't matter cause we won, it was just a thought!

Oh, and I'd flip a coin whether to throw or not in the Vikes situation. Running the ball and clock is the conservative and safer play. Thankfully, it worked.

I agree with the time idea of why to run on 3rd down. But you do not have to go to the endzone on that play, you just have to get the first down and the game is over, assuming the field goal is good. Not that it would have work out that way, but you have to play to win not to just take the lead! Regardless of the outcome I will always feel that was a poor choice of playcalling. All said nice to be 6-0!!

That's the key there. We've won a couple close ones, but every successful team over the years have had to win some close ones.

Anyone see Chilly's comments in the paper this morning? He called the fans "sports bitchers". HAHA! He said he loves it...says it means people are paying attention and care enough to share their opinion. I think we're making him proud!

Didn't get to see the game cause I was on the road driving to Arkansas, but was listening to EPSN radio and the guys on there said that the Vikings are really hurting in the cornerback and safety department. Winfield and Sapp hurt, so they were down to playing 2nd/3rd stringers? Hope we get healthy in a hurry with two TOUGH games coming up before the bye week.

Does anyone think the D gets gets too relaxed knowing that they have a big lead and Favre?

I don't know that I would say "dominated". Definitely 6-0. But don't kid yourself, got lots of work to do to go undefeated in the playoffs.
