UGH!!
SledNeck
what the "heck" difference does 3 hours make if you wanna go or not?
Outfitter17
I would rather watch it on TV.
JeffB
I don't think you will have much trouble getting rid of those tickets!!!
zamboni
Have fun sitting on those ice cold metal benches!!!
Scott K
Well I will have an 11 year old, and a 12 year old with me, that have school the next day and a wife that has to work. By the time I get home, it will be 3 am or so. I am still going, it is just less convenient, that's all.It would be very easy to sell Packer Tickets, I wouldn't need to post in here to sell them, I only posted to vent! Badger
Have fun sitting on those ice cold metal benches!!! So you'd rather be at the "roller dome"....come on Zambo...Lambeau is top 3 to watch a game at, (many analysts say it's the best venu)! The Vikings need a new stadium in the worst way. I hope they can get something done, cause I'd hate to see them move to LA....yea I'm a die hard Packer fan, but I want them to stay here. Lots of revenue for the Twin Cities that would be lost. I'm happy to see the Gophers finally get a stadium on campus. Football played outdoors is the way to go!
zamboni
They say it is great there because of the atmosphere, not being comfortable. If I had to sit outside in the freezing cold in the middle of winter, there better be a 8" hole in front of me and a rod in my hand.

I enjoy ice fishing as well I was there for the 1st Lambeau Leap when Reggie got a sack and tossed it to Leroy Butler for the TD... -22 degrees (never got cold). I'd buy you a beer/schnaaps if I saw you at the game...kind of a special place Zambo!
ANYFISH2
A die hard Vikes fan here. But I would sit in sub zero temps to watch a Pack vs Vikings game in Lambeau any time!
Scott K
Have fun sitting on those ice cold metal benches!!! I have been to several Packer Games. The benches do suck, but if you spend the extra and rent yourself a chair with a back on it, your all set. As for the cold, they make it out to be a lot worse then it is. The floor is heated, and you are crammed hip to hip with 60,000 cheeseheads, I have been to below zero games there, and it isn't really that bad. SledNeck
I'll be there with my new MVP jersey

GEEEEEZZZZ.....boy I really feel for ya, can't imagine how terrible that would be Quote: By the time I get home, it will be 3 am or so. I am still going, it is just less convenient, that's all. 4:15 Eastern=3:15 Central.....little over 5 hours from Henderson to Green Bay........that adds up to a 7 hour game......... Here I am happy as a pig in [PoorWordUsage] that it got moved.....more time to chase elk and listen to it on the radio
Scott K
I figured it was a 3:15 game, but Fox had it listed as 5:15 Eastern, but now have changed it to 4:15 Eastern. I also added a couple hours for traffic to get out of GB, there isn't exactly any major freeways close to the stadium. Plus, I will have to make a couple bathroom breaks on the way home with 2 kids along.Good luck with the elk!
walleyes12
My wife and I will be at our first game in Lambeau field. Not sure what to expect yet, but It will be a great time! GO VIKES, and FAVRE!!!!
Scott K
My wife and I will be at our first game in Lambeau field. Not sure what to expect yet, but It will be a great time! GO VIKES, and FAVRE!!!! I have been to a couple games there. The parking lots just outside the stadium are designed for tailgaters. If you wear purple, they will tease you, but they are very friendly. When inside during the game, I never had anyone comment at all to me, besides Viking fans, when I was cheering on the Vikes. The part you need to be concerned with is after the game, walking down the streets, but if you can blow off drunk cheesehead rants, you will be fine.Since you have never been there, I recommend coming on Saturday and taking the tour of the stadium, it is actually pretty cool, or just come early Sunday morning. They charge for this, but it isnt much.
walleyes12
Thanks alot for all the great info! We will be there early saturday to take in lambeau, and hang out Brett Favre's bar for while! Thanks again!
Mudcutter
Badger--- I respect your love for the PACK and going to Curly in the cold,,, but being I make the $$ from the weather, I seriously question your -22F. With the wind?? Yes, that's possible, especially if you use the old wind chill formula. Without the wind,, not likely. For those who care (most have probably left) GB doesn't get as cold as MPLS on AVG. How many games have been played at the dome or the met with a AIR temp of -22F outside,, (NONE) and if possible, the game would likely be postponed. Since the ICE BOWL (-13F air temp) people have become wimps. The playoff game in Cincy in 1982 or 1983 was the coldest as far as I know including the wind chill. (which was drastically changed in 2001.) I believe it was something like -59 wind chill which = a current wind chill of about -40.Sorry, but being a weather geek, I have to correct. Mudcutter
and Badger,, if I was at game with you and the temp was -22F,, you'd better buy me something other than a beer, cause it would be froze in seconds. Especaily the lite stuff. I'll buy you a years supply of your choice of adult cocktails the next time a NFL game is played at -22F air temp or colder,, if not-- well-- GO VIKES!!!! delta dude
Time matters not. By then Pack will be 3-4 and Oden's team will be undefeated.

Geez...sorry Mud! -22 was WITH the wind chill at the game, (glad to hear you think that -22 is possible at GB)! Look it up if you don't believe me. We were having beers...just had to drink them fast. You're getting pretty picky aren't you? Sorry I'm not as clear and precise as you are with your posts! I look for forward to correcting/questioning your posts in the future!
