Funny Story

I was out on a stand last night when a doe and two fawns approached from behind. There is a house nearby and they came from that direction. I heard what I thought was a kinda slow kid at the house saying "deer, deer" over and over. The kid then came down the trail. It was a button buck. He was grunting over and over and it sounded just like a kid saying deer. I wouldn't shoot a button buck and I certainly couldn't shoot a talking deer. It was good for a laugh.

Seeing how he could talk, I asked him where his grandpa was. He said "deer deer."

Those young bucks are funny. I always like it when they run around urping. If you have heard it, you know exactly what I am talking about.

I had that happen once. I was hunting some thick brush and I heard some commotion and some grunts nearby. I grabbed my bow and told myself here we go! About a minute later here walks a button buck right under my stand. I couldn't believe it - talk about disappointment.
