jigginjim
How much are you paying for your redtails? What size? Location? Its that time of year when redtails are the hot ticket.
EBass
Donnu about cost since I haven't bought any, but when the water temp is in the 40's is when live bait is good. Or just slow down with a jig n plastic.
MIke A
$8.50 a dozen on Ottertail Lake. I was on Mille Lacs and saw them for $9.50. I've had some bites on them, but the bite hasn't picked up yet, sitll been using cranks, leeches when I can find them or plastic leeches. They are plentifull in the feeder creeks along the mississippi right now along with various other chubs. I did see them going for 8.50 here in town at one of the shops on sat. Getanet
Hate to admit it, but my buddy and I paid $9.99/dozen at a gas/bait shop near Nisswa last week. Of course all the fishing reports (from bait shops) said redtails were the ticket. Had better luck on Gulp night crawlers for walleyes. wplatehunter
$9 a dozen in Perham. They put some nice walleyes in the boat. Worth the money.
nblasin
I believe they are about $8/dozen at S & W baitshop north of Brainerd on Hwy 371 North. Sherrie has the best live bait selection in the state in my opinion. We use redtails pretty much all of the open water season other than early spring and as a rule they are hard beat. I call redtails walleye candy.
