Youth bowhunting in MN

I'm getting different answer to the question: how old does a kid have to be to bowhunt in MN? Can someone tell me the answer to this- what's the minimum age to bowhunt MN?

Also, I've got the same question for ND- what's the minimum age to bowhunt in ND?

If I am correct, it is the same as with a firearm - They can hunt at 10 and 11 as long as they are within reach of a licensed parent. 12 to hunt on their own with their own tag.

That is correct. Big games rules for age apply to all weapons. Under the age of 10 the youth can hunt, but they are hunting with the license of the guardian. At 10 they can buy their own tag.

Youth ages 10-11 get a free tag that is good for thier own deer they don't use thier gaurdians tag anymore.

I've never heard that before. There are regularly pictures in Outdoor news of kids < 10 years old with game they shot. I think they can shoot it but they have to be with an adult and use the adults tag. Maybe someone who knows for sure can confirm.

I was refering to big game only. I think they aren't allowed to shoot one until they are 10. Then they can get a free tag, and hunt alongside you.
