Musky_Madness
My pops and I were doing some musky fishing today and saw a big fish laying in a rock pile. We worked the spot thoroughly this afternoon and managed to get her to come up to the boat with a lazy follow. She stuck around the boat for quite a while and really wasn't interested in anything in particular and just suspended there. I was able to take 2 pics of her in the water and am curious to what you would guess for overall length. Spent several hours trying to entice her to eat but she never came back. We spent the day basically talking about it and wonder if she had ate earlier in the day and was digesting her food in the warmer water. Who knows I guess. These pics were taken at 1:30roughly from the bow of a 1850 FishHawk. I am 6' and my shadow is shown on one of the pictures. There isn't much for a point of reference and I apologize for that. JRedig
Sounds familiar, we had that today too...fish struck a weagle immediately and followed the next 3 casts but wouldn't eat..must've bruised her jaw on the first go around...haha! bronzeback
Big enough that I want to catch it.... haha, I'll second this. wouldn't matter what bait, though. If I HAD to guess, and I suppose I will just for the sake of this thread, I will say that fish looks to be in the mid to high 40's range. Without a point of reference that could just be a zoomed in 20 inch fish but who knows, that's just what i'm getting from it. Looks like a good fish. b1gf1sh1
judgeing by the angle of the light rays and the misdirection of the waters prismatic impulses outside the spectrums' hemisphere and the left angle of the camera lens' dome in relation to the depth of the fish i can say with total exactness that i ain't got the foggiest idea how big that fish is. 100% possitive. urban cowboy
I dont know what you guys think but doesnt it seem like the fish always looks smaller in the water... Like looking at that fish you could say 45" but if you where to catch it and have it in the boat its like 50" and thick???I dont know. anyone else experience this? mainbutter
Based on fact that there are so many 40-50'' muskies, especially ones worth taking pictures of, I'd guess she's in that range If I were a gambling man, I'd put a bit of money on 44''
marine_1
45-48 maybe.
harvey lee
I would go around 45-48 inches. Looks like a brute with a thick back. Love to get a hook in that one.
